Update: Adverse Weather Alert #4 - YELLOW Level⚠️
Adverse Weather Alert - YELLOW Level extended until Thu, Jun 12, 2025 4:00 PM!
Updated Issuance time #4 (local time) Wed, Jun 11, 2025 3:40 PM
Start date (local time) Tue, Jun 10, 2025 2:00 AM
Description: Some settling is expected during the early night, however there is a medium (60%) chance for periodic heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms to return during the early morning. There is an increased risk of street flooding and landslides/landslips, particularly in areas with saturated soils. Major rivers are currently below significant thresholds, however they are steadily rising as a result of today's rainfall. In the event of heavy rainfall, smaller watercourses may rise rapidly and overtop in some areas. Winds may become gusty in the vicinity of heavy showers/thunderstorms. These winds may further agitate sea conditions, displace loose outdoor items and even topple unstable trees.
Instructions : Persons in flood and landslide prone areas are urged to remain alert, take precautions where necessary and monitor official updates. Motorists and residents in flood-prone areas avoid flooded areas and exercise caution. Secure loose outdoor objects. Take necessary precautions to mitigate potential impacts. Monitor official weather updates at http://www.metoffice.gov.tt
Area description Trinidad, Tobago and surrounding waters.
