yeah i heard Old Road flood- in the low lying part.

also, Adverse Weather Alert extended

Update: Adverse Weather Alert #4 - YELLOW Level⚠️
Adverse Weather Alert - YELLOW Level extended until Thu, Jun 12, 2025 4:00 PM!
Updated Issuance time #4 (local time) Wed, Jun 11, 2025 3:40 PM
Start date (local time) Tue, Jun 10, 2025 2:00 AM
Description: Some settling is expected during the early night, however there is a medium (60%) chance for periodic heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms to return during the early morning. There is an increased risk of street flooding and landslides/landslips, particularly in areas with saturated soils. Major rivers are currently below significant thresholds, however they are steadily rising as a result of today's rainfall. In the event of heavy rainfall, smaller watercourses may rise rapidly and overtop in some areas. Winds may become gusty in the vicinity of heavy showers/thunderstorms. These winds may further agitate sea conditions, displace loose outdoor items and even topple unstable trees.
Instructions : Persons in flood and landslide prone areas are urged to remain alert, take precautions where necessary and monitor official updates. Motorists and residents in flood-prone areas avoid flooded areas and exercise caution. Secure loose outdoor objects. Take necessary precautions to mitigate potential impacts. Monitor official weather updates at http://www.metoffice.gov.tt
Area description Trinidad, Tobago and surrounding waters.

Had to be on the roads briefly past 3 p.m, and the highway between Piarco and orange grove had water filled right lanes on the east and west. Though the intensity has lessened, be aware of standing water sections on the roadway.

Coulda sworn the adverse weather advisory stated it was to end around 4 today, but it going out with a bang. The mood damp and miserable.

Why Trinis literally begging for it to flood?

What is it?

They never experience their home flooded out and losing everything, that’s why?
