That's what I have been trying to get you to realise. Your workplace and union is basically a PNM party group. They will never go against.

I disagree with that. A party group is supposed to be one of the fundamental elements that informs and shapes the policy decisions of the party. It is supposed to be a grassroots->upwards type arrangement where views and issues of those affected are organised and put to the party leadership.

What we have on the island is the other way around. The dictator expresses an opinion and the party group seeks to make it actionable. Not only that "they will never go against," but they don't push the issues of the supposedly represented interest group upwards either.

The outlet we have for that is the union. But workers have to make a decision which of the two masters they will serve - the racial tribalism pushed by yourself and the PNM, or the solidarity of the proletariat embodied in the union.

The problem is that the union has been compromised and is basically a branch of the PNM. They will say things to pacify the members and do superficial things as a show of solidarity or whatever. Fundamentally, they won't rock the boat, and the fools who can't see that , we should pity them.
