Kamala didn't get the post convention bounce they were expecting, as such polls even if they come in higher, the odd of her winning now are lower than before.

Trump is recovering a bit more from the Kamala hype and now it's basically neck and neck in a lot of the swing states.

I'm still quite sure Trump will win, but this election is extremely close right now

i think the "weird" campaign backfired
ppl doh like to hear/feel negative associations. subconsciously it reflects back to the voter and they ultimately dislike the person saying it.

also material conditions. i seeing a article about venzuelan gangs in the states doing all kinda madness

the weird campaign seemed very childish and only really worked with Democratic voters. I think voters who were moderate or independent would have found it offputting and arrogant.

A lot of things the Harris campaign is doing seem to work great until you realise it only really solidifies voters who were going to vote Dem anyway.

Their Harris bounce was really only due to Biden resigning as a candidate, not because people love Harris, they don't know her, they're just believing what the media tells them.

Trump suffered immensely due to this, but given how short our attention spans are, the hype seems to be over and the DNC was a disappointment as it did nothing for her.

Trump had a really well timed endorsement from RFK and Tulsi which now puts him back neck and neck with Harris.

Anyway, a LOT can still happen before Nov so jump in for the rollercoaster and enjoy the shitshow that is American politics.

Totally pandering, that's why I'm glad Trump called her out on her changing ethnicity. That one seemed to have gone over their heads (intentionally).

Her voice is also extremely irritating, not trying to be sexist but I think that's going to turn off a lot of voters.

Capitalism has its flaws but it has brought many hard working ppl out of poverty- what are you advocating for in the absence of it? Socialism? Communism?

In socialist/communists countries sure everyone is equal- but equally miserable e.g. Venezuela and well they are not to keen on human rights such as free speech, they jail or kill dissidents or ppl for their religion, silence the media and pretend that things like the Tiananmen Square Massacre never happened, etc.
