I don't think they can depend solely on boundaries to win them all the games necessary to go all the way to the finals.

The above comment was in the lead up to the 2022 T20 World Cup
WI batted 51 dot balls last night, a staggering 43% of thier total deliveries.

The more things change they more they remain the same!!!!!!

57 Dot balls last night!!!!

SA by comparison had 41.

Really what Sammy and that other Stats guy does be watching on thier laptops whole game and what they does be writing down if not how much absolute sheit WI are at playing deliveries for 1s, 2s or 3s?

People have been talking about that dot ball percentage for years now, it's like they stuck in one dimension, like always opening bowling with Akeal Hosein, it worked well for a time but both England and SA planned for it. Maybe let Chase bowl at de Kock first up.

But hindsight is 20/20.

Aussies might pull it off, if Maxwell stays in.

Dwayne Bravo as Afgn bowling coaching really showing results! Next time USA will pay big money for him.

Journalist Peter Della Penna has revealed a major secret on his official Twitter handle. He has revealed Dwayne Bravo contacted USA Cricket for the role of bowling coach in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. However, they denied it.

“True story: Dwayne Bravo reached out to USA Cricket to offer his services as bowling coach for the T20 World Cup. USA Cricket said thanks but no thanks”, he tweeted.

Had to share this from Cricinfo: Link has full story.
https://www.espncricinfo.com/story/rash ... ce-1440871

So right now, he is mid-pitch, and furious. The ball is only now being gathered, and there are only three deliveries left, and Rashid wants this extra run, and he also wants the strike as he has just smashed a six, and wow why the hell would you turn down this run?

Rashid thrashes his bat so angrily that he loses grip and it goes spinning towards Janat, its own little vortex of rage. When Janat returns Rashid's bat, after Rashid has comfortably regained his ground at the non-striker's end, he has a sheepish expression. Rashid can't stand to look at his team-mate.

It is as absorbing a cricket story as you could encounter. Jonathan Trott, the English coach of the Afghanistan team is barking orders from the dugout. Dwayne Bravo, the Trinidadian fast-bowling coach is prowling the edge of the field.

Gulbadin Naib, whose hamstring had apparently exploded in agony as Trott asked for the game to be slowed down, and just-as-suddenly come right, is ranging the infield.

Prior to this week SA hadn't even been to TT for this WC with thier warm ups being in the USA and all thier group and super 8 games being elsewhere.
Afghanistan was here since May and also played group games at the BLCA so I was actually telling one of my pardners today I give them an edge for this reason alone.

Possible tropical depression or storm from Saturday into Monday to hit Barbados. Hopefully contingency in place for such a possibility.

Whoever is responsible for preparing the pitches should be severely reprimanded for the substandard surfaces and one sided games. This has to be an embarrassment of epic proportions. Feel sorry for the spectators who paid big money.

Afghanistan giving the few fans in there the true west Indies batting experience. Let all the batsmen out early so they can rest and prepare to field.

At least there shouldn't be any issues with the park and walk a mile......I mean park and ride this evening right?

India's Net Run Rate is unstoppable. Looks like they'll be champs given that stat throughout the tournament.

Imagine people have their preference for a team and they are deemed racists...allyuh need some serious introspection.

Anyways... Still backing India, win or lose! All they need to do is put back kohli at no3 where he belongs

Kholi is the only man I see fail through an entire tournament and still keeping his place

Kohli banking on his name right now... Pretty sure he would be a no show in 2026 and well future t20 series for india. They could play jaiswal, drop kohli at 3 and rest dube.... Or send pant to open

This is the reason right here people don't like India, not because of racism.

I have a problem with the fixing but heres the thing -
Australia and West Indies also had certainity with thier games.

India generates 80% of the ICC revenues and most of that is from the TV rights. They cannot be that cricital to the game's finances and then you put thier matches when all the Indians are sleeping. If that was the case then the ICC revenues that
disproportionately goes to teams like WI also falls.

How does Vaughan propose the ICC replace India TV revenues?
