the proper way to set up a tap is to use metal pipes for the last sections as it is very common for idiots to bounce it when doing stuff like filling bucket etc

if the metal valve staying open most of the time take a 4 inch or 6 inch piece of pvc (you would have to cut it in half or 3/4 or 4x4 pvc trunking and fasten it to the wall to block the pipe from random lash

can use brackets to fasten the trunking/pipe to the wall

I was checking for Toto today. The Drake have seriously good reviews all over.
Bath and Kitchen is the same company next door to Plumbing Solutions. Was told they eh bringing down Toto again freight costs too high from China. They have a brand called Duravit.

I wanted to check American Standard too, but the same salesperson told me that AS only making S-trap now, and nobody seems to have it in stock in Trinidad anyway. So I going and check AP Scott for Twyford. I know it's Chinese make, but it's the same molds, I'll just use a Fluidmaster toilet kit internals from Bhagwansingh to set it up. Years and years ago I bought a Twyford sink and it had the Made in UK sticker hidden inside, it still like brand new, such great design.

Up to a couple years ago I bought a made in England twyford toilet. Had the stamp inside the tank I believe and even the name of the person who either assembled or did the QC checks. So they're still available. Was the old school two piece types and when you flush you have to put extra effort to crank the handle and it sounds like a jet engine lol. None of the new water saving, push button, large flush/small flush nonsense

i used sticks outdoors for growing tomato and they actually held up quite well, i would say in par with teak

I went to AP Scott at the Atrium in San Juan. They were the dealers for Twyford.
Geberit (UK) bought Twyford I was told. In fact it's a company called the Sanitec Group and since 2016. The sanitaryware manufacturer now plans to combine its three brands – Geberit, Twyford Bathrooms and Keramag Design – in both the contract and retail markets.

That's how you're seeing China Twyford everywhere and they're not the same as the old school Twyford. Sanitech doesn't seem to really care about that particular brand anymore and they're pushing Geberit. It was high quality and expensive stuff.

So be aware that the old time high quality Twyford will never exist again. It's just like the how some British car brands sell out manufacturing to India and is rubbish now, but still retaining the badge to fool customers. The Chinese Twyford one is thin and cheap. If you lift the tank inside them are not even glazed and thin, and porous brown indicating that it was never dipped in the glaze. Richford is another similar Chinese brand with similar manufacturing.

The USA Briggs and UK Armitage Shanks and old Twyford were not like this and are fully glazed inside the tank as well.

From trying to fix a drip-drip leak, I end up like this when I was unscrewing the adapter to add more tape. I had already had tape twice before and still the leak remained.

Anyway, what the best way to get this broken piece out without messing up the threads of the pump outlet? Thanks.

Cut different areas with a hacksaw blade and use small chisel or flat head screw driver to prise off. Remove pieces with a small bird beak pliers.
Before you do anything make sure and place a piece of cloth on the inside in case any small pieces fall inside.

Thanks. I was looking for a beam to hold up a roof and the sawmill recommended this one but I never hear of it before. Obviously your stakes are a lot smaller but at 6"x6" would you consider that to be solid? Like did you have any splitting or anything like that?
