Regent works fantastic for roaches…should work for the scorpions as well. I mix it very strong.

Advion Cockroach bait that i got on Amazon is also really good.

its quite toxic, no need to mix it strong

in fact it is a nonrepellent insecticide so they dont smell it and will carry traces back to the nest and die and contaminate the rest there
so you dont want it very strong otherwise it might kill the insects before they reach back home

for any roaches or crawling insects triton, regent or any of those type chemicals work well
i have areas sprayed with triton which kill roaches several months later

the boric acid for ants idea is similar, they drink the laced bait and carry and feed the rest of the nest

Can this boric acid powder/ borax work with bachac? Real problems with some of my nice pretty estate orange young trees. Can't access adjacent property, so hoping I can work something out that they will tote across to the nests

The Fiprokil bait pretty cheap like $30 at any agri shop.

How To Control Bachacs

The most effective method of control is by using a commercially available bachac bait which contains
fipronil as the active ingredient. When bachac-damaged leaves are observed, place the bait in a dry hollow container such as a short piece of bamboo or PVC pipe measuring 5cm (2 inches) wide and 38 cm (15 inches) long. Place the container in the path of the insects near to the affected trees.

Avoid touching the bait with bare hands by using a scoop or gloves. The bachac will take the poisoned
bait inside the nest and the entire colony will be destroyed.

Fipronil is highly toxic for crustaceans, insects (including bees and termites) and zooplankton, as well as rabbits, the fringe-toed lizard, and certain groups of gallinaceous birds. It appears to reduce the longevity and fecundity of female braconid parasitoids. It is also highly toxic to many fish, though its toxicity varies with species. Its half-life in soil is four months to one year.

doubt it will work with bachac because they don’t really drink sweet stuff and carry back to feed the ones in the nest

Yep that Ministry leaflet was written in 1999. This generation of ants probably adapt to that poison!

The leaflet also say try Vaseline on the small trees. The boric acid I tried in the past is the little container you get in pharmacies. Mix with sugar water let it dry back into a salt and then put some chunks on the ground.
