Also this is costly as the skybox will obviously charge more with all these different shipments from the same order.

Recent orders have option to "Group my items into as few shipments as possible"

That helps, sometimes. I use minimum number of shipments along with shipping to be received on the same day.

Even with Prime, Amazon will ship across multiple carriers or from multiple warehouses.

Incremental shipping costs can be absorbed but getting an order split into multiple packages with multiple delivery dates and documentation requests is unrecoverable sunk time.

Will have to check that out, thanks. I always knew there was an option like that somewhere.

Don't hold your breath, though. All of that has still yielded mixed results for me. I placed an order recently with all of those options selected. Instead of getting two or three of the identical items bundled together from the same order, they were still shipped separately. Some arrived a week later.

Now, I just place the order and expect it to come in separate boxes and budget the extra time, hassle and expense. Though I still prefer that to calling all over, checking local websites, being told that's it's in stock, and finding that the inventory was wrong once I get there. Good luck.

expect longer shipping delays as they are waiting to bundle everything.

Hey question here. Has anyone ever had someone from the us send a package to you in Trinidad through FedEx. In this case, would the person collecting the package still have to pay customs fees and duties? How does this process go

Yes if local duties are charged the person collecting has to pay them

So the way the "group my items" worked with the skybox -
They were supplied the invoice for the shipment.
They only ever listed the first item on the shipment, which happened to carry the highest duty.
Skybox charges were based off the shipment's weight, and only that item's value and duties.

Anyone ever had problems with shipping genuine gold and diamond jewelry. Is there any restrictions on such items. ??

My guys, anyone ever encounter Amazon sending you a password to deliver an item? First time I'm seeing this, how do the skyboxes handle this? Aeropost specifically, nobody answering today so I'll try Monday but in the interim, how is this handled?

Unless the skybox implemented Amazon Lockers at their receiving location...no. Check with Amazon support. Look out for scammers and phishing.

PSA: everyone turn on 2FA for your Amazon login. Use Google or Microsoft authenticator app and authorize your account. 2FA is the only way in life now for everything online. Even if you have a password manager. Don't authorize a phone text or call OTP code for anyone else ever.

It's even tricker because look how Linus Tech Tips YouTube was hacked target a Session Token through a phishing email. Use an ad and malware blocker on your browser and use a malware screening DNS.

This is the main part of the email from the same email address that sends shipment/tracking info. Amazon's help page confirms it's a thing but I never got it before and clearly I won't be collecting the package.

your package will arrive:

Monday, April 3

info icon On the day of delivery, we will email you a one-time password to read to the driver for delivery. Learn more

Secure Delivery with a One-Time Password
Due to the value of some items, a one-time password (OTP) is required on delivery for some orders.

An OTP adds an extra layer of security to your packages.

If an OTP is required, we will send a six-digit, numeric OTP to your registered email address after we ship the item.

You can also find the OTP by selecting Track Package beside the order in Your Orders.

Your OTP is valid until the end of the delivery day.

Read the OTP you’ve received to the driver .

Nope. Nope. Never share an OTP. So this driver will call and ask for the OTP that you received? So they can now use it to verify your account that they just tried to access with your password? NOPE. Never share an OTP.
Report and junk that email.

Your Amazon account is compromised. Install Ublock Origin add on, use an incognito browser and change your password.

Even if the procedure is correct. You can't share an OTP with anyone ever. Just don't do it.

Be extra careful. If you think it's suspicious you're right. Why the sudden talk about Amazon Locker and OTP if you never do it before with Aeropost? Don't make a move until you call them and get confirmation.

Do not share an OTP ever. That's bullshiet.

yea i think phone surgeon is right. i seen that Amazon One-time-password ("otp") field on my ezone prealert page, right next to the field for tracking number, value, etc. is just a way for Amazon's delivery driver to confirm you (or your agent) are authorized to collect the package

https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer ... 2CS752PLE3

read it there, on the official amazons webpage.

Doesn't that defeat the purpose of a time token unique OTP?

So a "driver" could be trying to log into your account and ask for an OTP and everything cool? And also what's stopping the driver from receiving the OTP, marking it as delivered and then taking it? You know Reddit is full of all these cases if anyone wants a read.

OP make sure you talk to Aeropost and confirm all this procedure and verification with them.
