Monitors or headphones?aaron17 wrote:Yeah ..my tracks to suffer from muddy and sounds being dull. I just want the track to be clear and bright and clean. Thats why mixing and mastering is a pain.
But ever since making music on the software ...instrument audio levels does be low for some reason. So this is why you all may hear all my track overall volume level does be low.

tru monitor speakers should sound godlike.
Auvio noise cancelling headphones...which seems like a no name one.

Ringing does be a pain...i does try to take breaks but i wanna know a safe decibel level.

Expand your listening reference points. What your listening devices are good at, your mix will be bad at.You may also want to check your limiter settings.I turn off all of that until I am mastering.
Yep.Most of the time I use FL studio. The limiter is set automatic on the main channel.aaron17 wrote:Is that the device that shows where u clipping?timelapse wrote:Thanks.Soul Collector wrote:timelapse wrote:Monitors or headphones?aaron17 wrote:I have regular speakers but to me its a gem. If not for the muddiness of the mix like the other guys said, this would sound EPIC cranked up.
Only listened to a few of the tracks you posted here but every time I hear one, it sounds like it's weaving through different genres in an almost seamless way. Like, the enjoyment derived from it never fizzles throughout the track. It keeps you fully engaged all the way as there's always something new to enjoy around the corner that's not expected. Nice piece!

I modified it slightly , made it less overly complicated mix wise , should sound better to crank out. Your a really positive guy with a name like soul collector lol
KM_2NR wrote:Every time I buy or selling some music gear I'm reminded how tiny the rock scene in this country , I know most of those guys. Not sure why more bands locally don't collaborate more. I agree 100% , focus on yourself the scene can wait , its not like much going on these day.
You can use Audicity. Its freeware. Before you use the noise reduction feature, play around with the eq.Drop some of the higher frequencies,or emphasize the ones that you want.Duane 3NE 2NR wrote:Any sound engineeers or audio editors in here?
I have an audio track with PLENTY background noise - highway was nearby when recording
Looking to reduce the background noise.
I tried a bunch of online apps to reduce noise but not really working too well.
Anyone willing to assist?

Only person I can send you by is Ian Alleyne. He has technicians that specialize in that,or possibly Rollingstock knows somebody.Duane 3NE 2NR wrote:timelapse wrote:You can use Audicity. Its freeware. Before you use the noise reduction feature, play around with the eq.Drop some of the higher frequencies,or emphasize the ones that you want.Duane 3NE 2NR wrote:Any sound engineeers or audio editors in here?

Tried that already. The Noise reduction feature didn't work so well. Had better results with Kapwing but still not great.

did you use isolated background noise samples from the clip to create the noise profile before applying the reduction?
take this small amateur example i just did from the TTPP audio you uploaded recently. The initial audio quality was not very good at 128kbps to start with:
