I'm in the market for something smaller, probably hybrid. The Aqua and Note seem like good choices. Can you point me in the direction of a good RORO dealership?

rn nobody bringing Aqua much less any hybrids, the cost of 2019 vehicles on the whole ridiculous

the gas models are cheaper with the Note being the cheapest rn

banks/cu only financing 3 year old cars so if you set on an Aqua u hadda find a older one cus nobody bringing that in 2019 year. Some instititions would finance older than 3 years but the downpayment and interest rate so high for an older year it would be a turnoff

Well 2017/8 Wingroad 1.5 Y12 last sold for $100k thereabouts but that is history now. We did get a handful of 1.8’s for a higher tag closer to B17 Sylphy pricing. Now where wagons are concerned, it’s mostly Fielder which is not a true Corolla. The Fielder and Axio are based off of the Yaris platform. Newer Fielders depending on grade can run you into the $140-170k range.


For $170k loans officers could tief up the typical trini head and encourage them to buy a new Hyundai, Kia or Suzuki for no down payment, less interest, a longer pay back period with a lower monthly installment.

^ Apart from tax breaks for hybrids there has been a persistent rise in the prices of RORO similar to the rise in prices of new cars.
From personal experience -
In 2003 my father bought a L Touring Wagon - $48k
In 2004 my sister bought a Wingroad - $50k
In 2008 I bought a CS3 Lancer - $88k (the alternative choices from the same dealer then for me were an Almera for the same price and a Civic for $92k)
In 2011 my father sold his L Touring and Bought a Wingroad - $110k
All were 4 yr old with about the same engine sizes - 1.5 - 1.6l.

How much are the RORO of any of those models today?

Have you considered importing it yourself? You can buy from Kobe Motors or SBT Japan directly. The thread above is dated but I believe most of the information on the procedure for clearing the vehicle is still relevant.

For the price of an foreign used basic manual AQUA ( used back seat per 2 japanese boy toys and abused and odometer turn back etc., ) YOU can NEW in the US with warranty and etc.,etc., ..
