Same scientists that warning of developing mutations , oh the irony, seeing as they made the damn thing, they might as well just say, based on their virus creations, this virus will was engineered to last for 6 years abnd will mutate 10 times again every 3 months ..

there's a theory that these highly-virulent bat viruses evolved as a sort of biological weapon against other animals that try to enter the caves. The bat viruses replicate highly in the bats but, because of the quirks of bat immune systems, it doesn't affect them past a sneeze and some mucus.
