If only our athletes were able to train properly but no, training might have caused covid.

With all the gunmen in Trinidad, how come we never send nobody to compete in the shooting competition at the olympics?

You kinda mad or what? Sorry you did not get to see a breakneck while trying to prove she is not weak.

Go and see her track record and come back and tell me she is weak.

Allyuh keyboard warriors cannot hold a candle to her accomplishments.

Weak my backside.

Bs. She abandoned her team when they needed her. Being a sport person means pushing themselves to find that strength.

If kobe rolled on his team because he was not mentally up to it, ppl would have shredded him.

Now she roll in to get bronze.

GOAT is for people who earned that.

As in sports, the better athletes win.

Lara was very inconsistent.

High scores some, duck or low many times.

While true especially in the middle of his career Lara played far more match winning innings than any other player in recent history, especially with a indisciplined team that always collapsed around him.

That's because we became accustomed and comfortable with mediocrity.

The Olympics is about people at the top of their game. The best won gold.

You see how the US women football team get owned?

there was a period of couple years well when the team would struggle to cross 200 in losing causes and he would be making half or more and captaining at the same time with chanders contributing most of the rest

there was a tour to sri lanka which he made most of the team runs for the entire series against murali and vas at their prime
very little media coverage of that tour.

one can only imagine the pressure he was under and expectations

Well we are the only country in the world where the pnm and their propaganda doctors didn't allow athletes to train, didn't allow athletes to travel and return as needed and did not make vaccines available to them as early as possible. In addition to the cuts in funding since 2015 and having a one minster that was sexually harassing his staff and then another minister who doesn't know anything about sport.

In De Grasse's case his mother was born here and lived here till 26 or something. He is first generation Canadian as opposed to Irish descent Amercans whose forebears are generations in on US soil.

And the Irish have several programmes for their Diaspora ah so they probably do care......
- Certificate of Irish Heritage - A Government initiative to recognise “the enduring emotional ties and sense of identity bestowed by Irish ancestry” grants certificates to people with Irish connections
- Ireland XO/Ireland Reaching Out - voluntary Irish government-sponsored initiative to connect people of Irish heritage to their ancestral parish - FREE of Charge!
- The Gathering (A year-long event) – The Gathering encouraged communities to organize “gatherings” to attract the diaspora to visit Ireland
They also have a Ministerial position responsible for Diaspora - Minister of State for Diaspora and International Development

Trinis does only look for other Trinis when they doing good.Other than that is crab in barrel.
If descent was important, Africa could claim every running medal.
