RIDGID Cordless drill repair…

Postby newto4x4 » July 2nd, 2021, 1:08 pm

Anyone knows where I can get this fixed,
Preferably central/Cunupia area.
It’s RIDGID model R86009. Brushless 18 V.
I think it’s the motor. Battery is good.

Forgot to mention that the last time I used it, smoke came out the vents.

Smoke from a small, brushless DC motor usually means that a stator winding was burnt. ProTools on the Easter Main Road may be able to repair it.

Since the battery is good, you can also consider buying a tool-only replacement for about TT$600 landed.
