Forget export for a while...I went to my local brewery to see when they will get it locally and it will be 2 months at best.

If it were American beer all you'd have to do is go drink a few cases of it in America, come back here and take a wizz. Re-bottle
Quality should remain the same via transportation using that method.

My broker says u can do it and u need an import permit. I show him the type of beer and he said he''ll get back to me. Expect a answer in a month Or two

spoke to two customs officers at the TIC trade show...they said there's no restriction on bringing in a couple of cases, and need for any special permit...just ship and pay duties when they arrive :)
Just waiting on a US distributor at the end of August, since the not shipping out of the EU yet :-(

bumping this thread for any updates...

are there any recent restrictions or changes to the laws with regards to importing alcohol? (i cant seem to find anything online)

on a side note......I am not exaggerating when I say "I've been looking for this beer for 6 years" but I finally found it 2day at Peppercorns (South Park)

edit: wasnt actually 10 years...it's really just over 6 years i've been looking (checked the date i started trying imported beers)

For me it was worth the $55...i've been searching for it for so long.

to others....it might just simply taste like a dark beer (crisp porter)

there supposed to be a taste of lemon in there but u can barely taste it

^ Trooper has been selling here quite a while now. Island beer pos was the first place I had it. Outside of there, I've seen it at a couple supermarkets, Aeromart in St. Helena being the most recent.

when last u see Trooper in aeromart?
Last time I bought was just before lockdown, from a bar in Freeport, behind the police station
They were bringing it in but getting licks on expiry dates due to slow sales
oh and regarding my original post, I had ended up shipping an 8-bottle case via aeropost, out of Miami

depends on your palate
Seems most ppl like IPAs, which this isn't
Trooper is more like a stout or a dark ale. Some find it bitter (basically weak phussies)
So if you like Suffolk Strong or London Porter, you'll love Trooper
As with all english ales, DO NOT drink them beastly cold, but I'm sure you'd know that

In early March. Will check again when I'm up on that side this week.

Had Trooper once a few years ago and as MG say its really up to your preference. Can't say I was a fan but I was bought up on lagers and IPAs. Don't even remember where I got it probably Bottlestop as I used to get two bottles of something unusual to try when I passed there.
