That money, allegedly, done earmarked for the 1% ( whose businesses are not suffering) and certain government ministers.

People don't really buy drinks to take home so nobody buying a cold beer to have it get hot on them and you also don't really want to encourage drinking and driving.
Also don't we have a law about consuming alcohol in public?? Not sure on this

Pass through Independence Square anytime and you'll see banks and KFC having people line up outside instead of inside. While the fresh Saharan dust air outside might be better for the situation as opposed to circulated air conditioning inside, it's still congregating nevertheless and I haven't seen anyone do anything about it. Mind you every 5 minutes or so a police passing on either a bike, vehicle or on foot. As mentioned before, the 1% seems unaffected. Only the "less fortunate" are mandated to follow protocols.rspann wrote:Police not chasing people in the line?

Coronavirus: Harvey Weinstein tests positive
Former Hollywood producer and convicted sex offender Harvey Weinstein has tested positive for coronavirus while in prison.
He is now in isolation, according to Michael Powers, president of the New York State Correctional Officers and Police Benevolent Association.
Weinstein was found guilty of rape and sexual assault last month and sentenced to 23 years in prison.
His lawyers have vowed to appeal against his conviction.
Weinstein is being held at Wende Correctional Facility near Buffalo in upstate New York. Two prisoners at the facility tested positive for the virus on Sunday, an officer who did not wish to give his name told Reuters news agency.
Mr Powers told Reuters that several members of staff had been quarantined. He expressed concern for corrections officers who he claims lack proper protective equipment.
A lawyer for Weinstein said his legal team had not been informed of the coronavirus diagnosis.
Imran Ansari said: "Given Mr Weinstein's state of health, we are of course concerned, if this is the case, and we are vigilantly monitoring the situation."
Before arriving at Wende, Weinstein had spent time at Rikers Island, a prison in New York City and a hospital where he was treated for heart problems and chest pains.
Weinstein was found guilty of committing a first-degree criminal sexual act against production assistant Miriam Haley in 2006 and of the third-degree rape of aspiring actress Jessica Mann in 2013.
New York jurors acquitted him of the most serious charges, of predatory sexual assault, which could have seen him given an even longer jail term.
Dozens of women have come forward with allegations of sexual misconduct, including rape, against Weinstein since October 2017.

That is not just doubles people, but almost every type of cuisine is selling pre-packaged meals to those outlets now.

^ I understand this,
But why encourage pick up and delivery within the population? No wonder there are so many cars on the road conducting non-essential services.
They should offer rewards to citizens that report non-essential services. A $500 self. See how fast all that sheit stop.
Anyways, let them continue, at least they are thinking about themselves and getting some income.
MaxPower wrote:Why is it that some doubles people are still operating by “order” and pickup? Now I am fully aware of the position of the economy and population in this pandemic, but the Govt has implemented temporary restrictions that we are to comply with.
Yunno if KFC make a turn in dey ass and make a sauce scene.....anyways they wont lower their standard to that of Trinis.
Is KFC in operation at all? NO. But doubles ppl want to cry and fight down KFC but then running business on the side. What nastiness is that?
Allyuh Trinis too damn petty yes.

Crime Stoppers offers a reward and I guess our crime rates are testament to how well that works.

All groceries have ready to eat foods, no cooking required, and i am positive it’s much cheaper than these outside bought meals. This is not a time for wants and preferences.
Trinis continue to disobey the implementations by the Govt.
If the Govt was to call an SOE, they would have all reason to do so as every gradual restriction is being taken advantage of.
If all businesses start doing the same, Peter will pay for Paul eh.
The sad thing is while these businesses want to make a responsible honest living, the population will make a mess of it.
The objective it to stay at home, only go to where is permitted and save lives.

There are many many people who are too old to cook. My uncle lives alone, he had a stroke over a year ago. There's a wonderful business that he subscribes too that drops off healthy meals for him daily.
They tried and lobbied to stay open, but they were told no exceptions, unless it was bakery items (weird AF).
So right now, different family members have to drop food for him everyday. People asking why so much ppl on the road? This is f*cking why, when leaders make stupid counter productive decisions that ultimately lead to no change but more suffering.
