Talk is that TTPS didn't know it was a kidnapping initially, they were on scene for an accident. Is when the 2nd doctor talk then they realize what play off. Of course by this time witnesses, ambulance and members of the public was on scene already so couldn't take dem out.

shake d livin wake d dead wrote:Watching the pics of Dr.Sharma, it appears as though he was actually shot....several other persons confirm this as well

Like yuh get the weed from the wharf voice note.

The vn, story, stories and well the pics....only the next doctor could say exactly what went on...that's a big IF

eh? all ah that?

Yep, and like the bandits have dey criminal lawyers and csi on facebook... "coincidentally" on pro-pnm pages. Dey focusing on the vn that the doctors was buying weed instead of the obvious case of murder and kidnapping. Well ok if you want to believe that, yuh have to believe the rest of the vn that dey conveniently skipping. The vn also said that he was shot dead and the "good boys" was going to dump him. The other doctor most likely woulda get sort out too.

Doctor= went to school and studied to make something of themselves, and to help others.

Bandits=worthless pieces of crap, prob dumb as dumb can be, never would have amounted to anything anyways, love to help themselves to everything others have and worked hard for.

Really doesnt matter what the story is- a doctor is dead, another in critical, unfortunately all the bandits/kidnappers didnt die yet.... thats the end result...……………

mero wrote:But a kidnapping takes serious planning and a strategy no?

U can't just drive in a hospital and kidnap the first doctors you see.

Whos the rat? Who sell out dey bredren.. The weed story whether true or not could be useful. Who is the plug? Who shady weedman bredren it is. Who call the shot? Kidnappers buss in the compound or get to cruise in cuz they were expected?

More to the story. The kidnappers now saying that it was the doctor who was driving. But the police do not believe the suspect. And what the hell two doctors were even doing in a place like that on Rushworth St. at 11:58pm? But then the accident occurred at Macaulay 1:50am almost 2 hours later. Everything told so far to the press does not add up. I think forensics and autopsy could easily clear it up if they apply the methods to the crime scenes properly.

Cops baffle over conflicting reports
Police are probing conflicting reports which have emerged in the alleged kidnapping of two doctors from the San Fernando General Hospital which resulted in the death of Dr Rudradeva Sharma.

Initial reports indicated that Sharma was found in the trunk of his wrecked Honda CRV SUV, but yesterday one of the alleged abductors put a different spin on the tragedy allegedly telling a police officer that Sharma was in fact the driver of the vehicle.

The 19-year-old is one of four suspects in the kidnapping of Sharma and his colleague Dr. Prem Naidoo , the robbery and theft of Sharma’s SUV on Wednesday night.

Reports into the tragedy were that Sharma, 38 of La Romaine and Naidoo, 37 of Palmiste finished their shifts at the San Fernando General Hospital around 10 pm Tuesday and were seated in the SUV along Rushworth Street Ext. Around 11.58 pm, the armed suspects approached the SUV, ordered the doctors out and robbed them of their mobile phones.

The doctors were reportedly tied up and placed in the back of the SUV.
The suspects sped off towards the Solomon Hochoy Highway. Around 1.50 am Wednesday as they neared Macaulay, Claxton Bay, the driver lost control of the SUV.

Surveillance footage along the highway showed the SUV flipping more than 16 times before stopping in the grass.

Highway Patrol units and ambulances responded, and the men were taken to the hospital.
While at the scene, the officers found a firearm. Checks were conducted as to whether it was registered to any of the doctors, but it was not.

San Fernando CID detectives met with the doctors at the hospital and learnt that they were kidnapped.
Sharma, the nephew of former tourism minister Chandresh Sharma, died before reaching the Accident and Emergency Department. His funeral is expected to be held on Sunday.
The three suspects were under police guard at hospital, causing anger and fear among doctors and nursing staff.

One of the suspects, a 19-year-old from Lady Hailes Avenue, San Fernando, was released on Wednesday evening.

In a conversation with an officer, the 19 year old suspect is reported to have alleged that they were friends with the doctors and all of them were drinking and liming on Wednesday night.
A fourth suspect, who miraculously walked out of the wrecked vehicle which overturned several times, was said to be another friend, whom they were going to drop off in St Margaret’s Village, Claxton Bay.

Up to yesterday, the mystery person, who was seen via surveillance footage leaving the scene of the accident, had not been found.
Investigators said the suspect did not give an official statement to the San Fernando CID, which is yet to interrogate the suspect. This is expected to be done soon.

Investigators are suspicious of the story given by the suspect. They believe that he made the claims because of the predicament that he faces. They said all statements will be checked against the evidence retrieved.

Naidoo was discharged on Wednesday night and was expected to be interviewed again.

When Guardian Media visited his home, the family said no one was available for an interview.

Investigators are also working to retrieve footage from other surveillance cameras along the highway. Police are hoping to determine what took place between 11.58 pm Tuesday when the doctors were snatched and 1.50 am when the accident occurred.
One of Sharma’s relatives scoffed at the teen’s claim, saying that it goes against the evidence that the deceased was found in the back of the SUV and according to reports, his hands were tied.
Akeem Marine, one of two suspects who remained at the hospital on Wednesday night, died yesterday morning.

Police said Marine, 19, of Lady Hailes Avenue, succumbed to his injuries around 7 am. He was a known firearm offender.

Meanwhile, the third suspect, a 17-year-old boy, also from Lady Hailes Avenue, remains in a serious condition after suffering internal injuries in the crash.

Residents around the scene of the abduction reported that they saw him with a gun on his waist on Tuesday night.

However, police said he was discharged into police custody yesterday afternoon.

He was expected to be taken to the juvenile booking centre in South Oropouche.

Investigators said he may have partial paralysis.

Missing man emerges from forest...with incredible story

Shane Ramjattan, the missing father of two, has emerged from the forest telling an incredible story of being abducted, beaten and a trip to Venezuela.

Ramjattan, 24, was blindfolded and dropped off along the Penal Rock Road at daybreak on Saturday.

Residents who recognised Ramjattan from media reports contacted his family.

He was picked up by his father, Ramesh Ramjattan, and taken to the Penal Police Station.

The older Ramjattan said his son told a story of his ordeal which began with what he believed was a road rage incident on Wednesday night.

Ramjattan, a salesman, said after leaving his father at a bar in Penal he was driving home when he observed a vehicle close behind.

“He said he pulled aside for the vehicle to pass but it just pulled in front of him. My son tried to pull away but he touched the car. He came out and noticed it was a minor hit so he offered the driver, an elderly man, $300. But the man said no he wanted $500. My son had $7,000 which he won from playing roulette machines and he went to get the money inside the van. But two men came out of the car and grabbed him,” he said.

Ramjattan said his son was placed inside the car and one of the men took control of his van.

“He told me they blindfolded him with a jersey and took him into the forest in a camp. He said two of the men were speaking Spanish. But the driver of the car was East Indian. My son said he was hit a few times and then tied up. He was not fed until Friday night. But he said something that was scary. My son said the next day the men put him in a boat and they went out at sea. He thinks it was in Venezuelan water. There were other people on the boat including women. The Spanish speaking men threatened to chop off their heads if they fought back. My son said he couldn’t see anything but he heard a woman scream and then a splash. He thinks they threw her overboard. Then they came back to the bush camp,” he said.

Ramjattan said some time in the early hours of Saturday morning his son was dropped off in a lonely road in Penal.

“When he heard the car drive off he pulled off the jersey from his face and saw it was along the Rock Road. Some people from a house nearby recognised him from the newspaper and took him in. They gave him some water and called me. I went over and pick him up and took him to the police station,” he said.

Ramjattan said his son was traumatised and had minor bruises.

“I am relieved my son was found alive and well. He is shaken and was not fed but he will be okay,” he said.

Shane Ramjattan was reported missing when he did not return home on Wednesday night.

She had met his father at a bar in Penal after work where they drank beers and gambled.

Ramjattan drove off in a three-tonne truck belonging to his employer.

His mother, Radica Ramjattan, said she called his cellphone later that night but there was no answer.

The next morning, the vehicle was found in a ditch along ten-mile mark on the Penal Rock Road.

His cellular phone and shoes were inside.

Relatives and police searched the forest on Friday but Ramjattan was not found.

Ramjattan was interviewed by officers at the Penal police station.

Fishy...

Young driver/salesmen and their stories..

Have witnessed my dad looking for missing vans salesmen and sales since the 80's..

Most times involved young Rajs and rum with vans abandoned goods and the day's sales missing...

Harry Sookhoo from La Pastora was one in the 90''s ,a weeks old van and a brand new high commission paying route..remember him well as i handed over the route to him..

Man went from fury mugwai to gremlin in a matter of weeks..

Mad ppl...

They took the $7000 in the truck? Well how the truck ended up in a ditch then if he just touched another car? Why they carried him to a camp and not demand a ransom? Why would they take him out to sea (kidnappers offering free boat ride?) and then bring him back safe and sound and drop him in Penal of all places? Why not just dump him at the nearest shoreline?

Is it that he involved in something and people threaten him for the money that he owing? Seeing how he is a big gambler and all. Will he go missing again if it isn't paid? Everybody have their own problems yes. And they does feel police detectives stupid and won't see through their cockn'bull stories.

A definite statement from the Police on the kidnapped and murdered doctor. They wanted to clear up the lies that the Guardian was printing on the matter:

POLICE say they are not confused over the attempted kidnapping of two doctors in San Fernando, last week.

According to a media release issued by the police on Sunday, investigators maintain that they have a good understanding of the events leading up to the abduction of Dr Rudradeva Sharma and Dr Prem Naidoo.

The release stated that contrary to the contents of a newspaper article, investigators are not baffled over the matter and deputy Commissioner of Police Operations Jayson Forde supported the initial version of events reported.

He said, "Both doctors went to Pleasantville, purchased a quantity of marijuana, then proceeded to Rushworth Street Extension, where they parked the vehicle and began smoking their marijuana.

"Whilst smoking, they were accosted by three men who robbed them and tied them up. One of the men, accompanied by his two accomplices and the bounded doctors, drove the doctor’s vehicle north along the Solomon Hochoy Highway.

"Upon reaching the area of Macaulay, the vehicle lost control and crashed. All parties on board were injured. One of the doctors and one of the robbers subsequently died."

Sharma, 38, died when the vehicle crashed around 1.50 am last Wednesday.

Naidoo, 37, ofPalmiste and the three suspects were taken to the San Fernando General Hospital for treatment.

One of the suspects, identified as Akeem Marine, 19, of Lady Hailes Avenue, San Fernando, died from his injuries. He was a known firearm offender.

Naidoo was since been discharged.
