What month/year did you purchase your car?moneybagzkd wrote:Hey guys, so today I've sent in my vehicle to update the software in my 2017 Hyundai Ioniq. Not sure how many of you guys this may be applicable to but there is an available update to this model car for the computer's software which Massy will do for free.
I had my mother drop my car off for this today, when I got home from work and reviewed the notes, I saw they also changed the Hydraulic clutch actuator phase cap assembly. After seeing this I looked online and saw there was a service recall on this specific part, from Hyundai earlier this year for some Ioniq 2017 vehicles. The firm will also change this part for free.
Luckily I had it in and it got done together with it, I wasn't sure if Massy had a bulletin out for this or not so I'm just updating you all if you have the same vehicle to give them a call and see if applies to you.
Thanks.

Problem Description:
Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2017 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid vehicles. The Hydraulic Clutch Actuator (HCA)
inner oil seal may leak, allowing oil to accumulate in the cap area, possibly resulting in an electrical short.
Consequence:
An electrical short can increase the risk of a fire.
Remedy:
Hyundai will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the HCA caps for leaked oil and replace the HCA assembly if needed, free of
charge. The recall is expected to begin June 20, 2018.
