This is really cool.
I really hope those “charging waves” only tuned to the battery charging frequency circuit and it not in any way micro cooking your hand or whatever in the environs on your pocket.
But overall .....YAY!!!

The charger operates on the AM radio band.

Did you watch the entire video?
He spent the first half of the video saying other smaller developers tried it before and failed and then spent the second half of the video saying that now huge companies like Xiaomi and Motorola have announced they are working on air charging, plus the technology they are using today, it it very promising.

Yeap ... actually several times ... as someone who uses wireless charging extensively the promise of this technology held my interest for quite a while ... my Yawn ole story response has to do with this isnt new.

Radiation exposure with such a technology would and remain chief amongst my concerns and also its efficiency ... Xiaomi and Motorola are renown for their vaporware.

Fascinating technology to be able to do that up to that much feet. I think this might be the turning point in human technology for going completely wireless as wireless power is the only thing holding us back considering everything else is wireless now.

Btw wasn't there also a phone that can see through people clothes? :o

The patent for wireless transmission of power was granted to Tesla at a distance of 30,000 feet. That was Nikola Tesla, by the way, in 1900.

Marconi used a nearly identical method to develop and patent transmission of information. So we've all been living with the "radiation exposure" since the dawn of the radio era.

Indeed but we are all dealing with radiation exposure from birth from the sun ... the effects of radiation exposure are cumulative ... I wont write this off to just another form of radio wave till we get more information about the actual product.

My point is this: this power transmission is on the AM radio frequency band. There are many Am transmitters with 500 kw to 2,000 kw of instantaneous radiated power.

You probably have current, more pressing issues. This is simply a bucket of water during a tsunami.
