some people like the look of 120Hz and some do not. It kinda looks like everything was shot on a camcorder.
99% of bluray movies are at 24p so a 120Hz TV is better since 24 is a factor of 120. But most ppl cannot tell the difference of a 120Hz or 60Hz at 24p anyway or it just doesn't bother them. Either one you get 60 or 120Hz, make sure your TV has the 24p setting turned ON when watching bluray. You can of course let the TV show bluray at 120Hz but it will look different from what the director intended.
120Hz mode is better for gaming and sports. If you are getting a real good price on the 60Hz TV and you don't plan to play games on it then buy that.

Is the Hz u refer to the Clear Motion Rate?
Cause I saw on the samsung website that the Clear Motion Rate for the 5300 is 120 and not 60 as you mentioned and for the 6050 it is 240

I had a problem with the 6050 and getting the 5300 as the replacement.
Am I getting ripped off?
