Almera idles rough

Postby metal_navin » December 21st, 2012, 8:08 pm

Good day all.
I have an issue with my almera vehicle where if the AC is on, and I am in traffic or driving very slow, the car begins to idle very rough. It sometimes also happens with the AC off. I changed the engine mounts, clean fuel injectors but the problem still persists.

Can anyone please offer a solution?

Thanks.

If this is the non e throttle....

I highly recommend that you clean your throttle body, Idle Air control valve and your EGR valve.

This happens to me regularly, these things help. I do it myself.

Do a good clean/service of the intake as before mentioned but, you also need to do an Idle air learning procedure, easiest to do with the appropriate scanner interface.

idk if this helps, but had same problem, turned out to be the Crankshaft Position Sensor, best way to diagnose is to get the vehicle scanned,
