d15b manual mount question

Postby honda_soldier » December 27th, 2011, 5:33 pm

Got an eg8 D15B.

So i did a swap. Put in the gearbox. The guy who did the swap said he used the same back mount that was there on the transmission. It's up with two bolts.

My question : is the automatic back mount and the manual backmount the same???

I do not have a top mount right now and I am looking for one. Will there be problems lining up the top mount if the automatic backmount is not the same??

I was also told that there is a metal plate that bolts onto the gearbox, and the top mount bolts on that plate. Is this true? because looking at where the top mount is supposed to go, it looks like everything has to shift back and be raised before the mount will bolt on.

Thanks in advance.!

so. was told that there is no metal bracket. and it bolts straight onto the box. but the bracket needs to be welded off and welded back on at a lower position.

can any one share some insight on this?
