^^JYep the twincharged engine is touted as being the replacement. Looks like Suzuki is looking to decimate the competition completely this time around (RS Twingo? 500 Abarth? etc).

My word, if it does make it down here with that engine...AND looks like that - I've got to have one.

I only hope this time around, Suzuki uses a better paint job on the car! If you're into detailing, then you'd appreciate that the Swift Sport's (well the Champion yellow anyway) single stage/non clear coated paint job is not only old tech, but also a nightmare to work with!

The paint job might be ole skool but its def. NOT old tech...hence the PITA to work on.

^^When I said old tech, I meant that I've never really heard of single stage paint finishes anymore. In fact most of my detailing peers (folks who I try to learn from) were shocked as well.

But you're right, it isn't old tech in terms of how the car is painted - looks like the paint is baked on or something...or uses a nano application approach. Very very even paint finish...and it's hard! That's new stuff indeed.

It's hard to work with in terms of remedying defects e.g. minor swirls or holos. Using a polish/"cleaner" is rather disconcerting - you end up seeing significant paint residue on your (foam) applicator

Good grief I hope this next one uses a clear!

Anyway, I digress - back to those brembos :D :D

^^ <facepalm>

Yes I know diesels can be just as fast (look at the 123d for example), but they're not high revving. And SSS's just aren't the same w/o a high revving n/a engine IMHO.

lol... while it may not be the same, a vehicle with lots of low down torque is way better to drive.
Been playing with the swift over the last few days and trust me, the low down torque is necessary.

^^Depends on your driving style/preference/taste/whatever IMHO.

I had alot more fun in my high revving N/A cars (which made any reasonable power only high up) vs my other car(s) which had great low down/mid range tq. (quick spooling forced-induction notwithstanding )

It takes more work to keep the high-revving car's momentum I admit...but that's the fun in it for me I guess

Now if the SSS in question is automatic...then.....

Preach on brother! I could not agree more.

IMHO there is nothing sweeter than a well tuned high reving N/A engine.

Ooooooh and the sound of a well suited quad throtte......... sweet!
