The unfortunate timing of Calder Hart’s sudden vacation has quite obviously set tongues a waggin’. Notwithstanding the serious implications of recently advanced alleged documentary evidence, I dare say it behooves us to allow the investigative process to take its course. It cannot be understated that accusations are a lot like a great party. Everyone enjoys himself tremendously throughout the evening, but no one wants to stay to clean up. Just imagine a scenario where Calder Hart is cleared of these allegations. Are we going to prostrate ourselves before him in an act of contrition? Probably not. This is however all part of the grand theatre that is T&T, two parts truth, eight parts mauvais langue. It is in this spirit which I offer this work.
