hilux noise

i've started hearing a noise from my gearbox....
have a 3.0 hilux


sounds like the release bearing.....

is this covered in warranty

doin 60k km

Yes, more than likely this will be covered in your warranty once mtce was being done by Toyota. Check your warranty booklet for specific parts

I had a noise coming from my gaerbox at one time. Just carried it in and they had to grease up something called the fork. It was covered by my warranty and it working good since. I dont think you should have any problem in terms of warranty.

my friend had the same problem and they say they grease the fork and it stop and it was no charge.

same here,

if u rest ur foot on the clutch for awhile, u would hear a whistling sound.

had to carry in mine to grease the clutch fork also

Good day everyone and respect to all, I'm new to this forum and just want to share my experience wrt this topic...

I had an exact problem with my 06 hilux 3.0 turbo, with the "whistling" and all. Had to take it in for service ( covered under warranty) and the fork was greased. The problem re-appeared within a couple of months later. Eventually the release bearing and clutch plate was changed and fork re-greased ( again covered under warranty). working well since ( about 6 months now)...
