most effective method.. turn down the volume...

next you can try is damping the mounting of the deck to the dash.. e.g. use really soft rubber between the deck and dash..

if it is still skipping, invest in a USB deck...

umm In bass boxing is the cars doors open or closed?

IMO get some sponge and think outside the box, the bass causes vibrations which shakes the deck and moves the cd right? Well how about putting sponge around the deck mounting and to the back of the deck as to secure it in a sence... Could work..

you not wraping the entire deck... just where it is mounted to your dash..

the bass makes your dash board vibrate, the vibrations then transfer from the dash to your deck, making it skip..

ever see how the lens in a CD drive is mounted? or the radiator to your car? use that design for your deck..

probably the only thing one can do is to massload the bracket itself and cushion the contact points to the deck and the Dash.

Buy a radio that has an I-pod port and use it when you really want to have a rolling JAM session.
