i have ah qg18 block and qg 18 cams could the qg16 head work on de 18 block?????????

It could work, but there would be some minor modifications that you will have to get done. Firstly the oil holes on the head gastet will not line up perfectly.... The timing belt will have to be purchased on a trial and error basis, as you will have to keep trying different teeth counts.......as there is limited stretch on the tensioner....The water ports will match up but there will be a noticable difference in diameter bore......This could lead to overheating or scorching of valves.......other than that, the headache involved in the trial and error process.......lots of laugh.

Out of curiousity, Why would you be entertaing this idea? I do not anticipate any significant hp gains.....as well as reliability could also be a negative factor.......

IMO i would rather leave the qg18de be....its a good neo-burn engine which i find has a fast pull-off anyways..any mods to it would make the engine probably burn more gas which would change the whole point of it being a neo-burn engine...if you wanna do that then u might as well swap in an SR or something....
