Because it is the only thing that will slow down the spending of US dollars ... otherwise we end up in situation where the FOREX reserves stand at 0 ... and you all will blame the government and say why did they not do something to stop it.

Devaluing will slow down our US spending spree, it will make our exports more competitive, make foreign investments more attractive and stimulate local businesses that earn forex.

It will also sober up all you mother frackers as to the reality that the toilet paper has more inherent value than the TT dollar.

If you guys have not converting most your tt dollars assets to Bitcoin, gold, silver, Forex (usd, pounds, euro, can dollar) yet then you are screwed.

Rowley slips in popularity. The majority of his support is coming from those of African Descent. The racial priorities are very strong compared to the issues and sanity still.

When the hell will people stop seeing race as a *singular* motivation of pride?

Indo-Trinidadians are perceived to be striving for supremacy and Afro-Trinidadians struggling to retain it. Check out Selwyn Ryan's articles below to explain:

Afro Trini support for the PNM runs deeper than just skin colour
There is a cultural and religious basis for their continued support, ignorance and stupidity is also rampant in both party supporters as well. There is a strong view that Indo trini's are Idol/demon worshipers and they are at fault for the chaos in this country by bringing these negative spiritual energies to our shores. The next problem is the perceived differences in culture between the two races.

A big part of it is they feel it is better to go with the devil you know than the one you don't know.

The irony of the Afro dominated support for the PNM is that KCR apart, the rest of the batting line up that is the current face of the party comprises a French Creole, Indian, Chinese and 1/2 Arab 1/2 Indian.

No problem

Was listening to some of the talk radio stations especially 91.9fm where most PNM does call in. The topic of the day was on Rowley's ratings decline. One simple question asked was how would you rate rowley from 1 - 10, where 10 is excellent.

A good number gave him zero. The lowest PNMites gave him was a 7. Their logic is that Kamla thief out all the money and left the country in a mess so right now, Rowley trying to stabilize everything and prevent us from going to the IMF.

Blaming the previous administration only works in Year 1. After that is just an excuse.

This country never put people on positions to have an auto pilot mode.

Yes men systems are not fault tolerant.

Your second and even third in line should be able to function at the positions above them.

We need no move away from winner takes all, to meritocracy in our ministries. And implement voting for major resource intensive issues, eg toco highway.
