lol @ the moulana telling people about temporal distancing. when pnm not too long ago, reduced the opeing hours of hardwares, supermarkets, food places, so people had to go at the same times.

This week I went pricesmart.
Upon entry there is an area to wash your hands. But the problem is the trolleys are not sanitized as yet and ppl are for a fact thinking that they don't need to sanitize their hands again. Only when you enter inside the building... they are giving you wipes to clean the handle.

You all need to relax and just walk with your own damn sanitizer, why do people have to do everything for you? You want them use the CCTV to make sure you wearing masks constantly and that you not touching your face? Not bashing you specifically because they should be doing this, but people need to realize that every surface, every indoor enclosed environment you're in (without wearing masks), every small mistake you make talking to someone without a mask etc you're putting yourself at risk.

More men, children falling victim to Covid

MORE MEN and younger people have been testing positive for the potentially Covid-19 Coronavirus in the last months.

At the Covid-19 coronavirus media briefing on Saturday, Chief Medical Officer of Health (CMOH) Dr Roshan Parasram said that in this Phase Two of the country's Covid-19 virus count, there had a 'flip' from the previous phase in the demographic of people testing positive for the virus.

Parasram said it was "almost a reversal", in the figures according to sex and age of the demographic, as noted in the data compiled by the Ministry of Health.

He said in Phase one - noted between March 11 to April 26, the male cases were 41.4 per cent where as females were 58.6 per cent.

But in the second phase starting from April 27, the percentage of male cases had shifted to at least a 17 percent increase to 58.1 per cent, and the number of females has dropped to 41.9 per cent.

In the first phase, the average age for positive cases were the groups between 50- 65 years old.

However, in the second phase, the main age groups have changed to a younger age group between 20 to 40 years old.

"We see a bit of a converse relationship. Where we're seeing the graphs on the bottom, becoming larger indicating a flip in the age distribution. So we see children being affected we see in persons in the 20's, 30's and 40's being the main age groups that are affected in this particular phase, at least as the primary contacts and the primary cases", he said.

And there have been large numbers of cases in northwest Trinidad, and in the medical counties of St George East and Victoria.

"Movement has been widespread. We have a very small country of persons that are positive that can be in North then south, and east and west in one in one single day. So our concern is who is controlling the spread by knowing the clusters", said Parasram.

i feel it go be more than dat. if the cmo say the figures we getting now is from samples on the 31 july they suppressing the numbers to make it look gradual. when them people who positive now was waiting on their result was roaming the country and infecting others while terry campaign and them infect others and the true number ketch to to the date them you will see the cases out of control. this is phase one and thank god kamla build the couva hospital that we can isolate the infected but we luck run out and pnm doing sheit to manage the infection after they tefi out the coid money from the HSF.

because 99% of the first cases were the old folks who went on the cruise....

Hello DPD,

I agree, people must take this alot more seriously and open their thinking and awareness. Its not just about mask wearing and SD.

As you rightly said, people HAVE to have their own sanitizing equipment.

But we have these people looking to see if there is a No Mask No Service sign to know IF to wear a mask.

We have these people who carry on about as normal when there are no wash sinks or even soap to wash hands....no sanitizer? No problem....

If groceries are not wiping carts, oh gosh we have to have our own wipes and sprays in the event none is available....these items are now a must have. Just as toothpaste and toilet paper....if your covid supplies run low...make it a priority to replenish.

These little things that we bypass are the triggers and fire starters for severe consequences.

Trinis....we will reach peak numbers if u all continue like this.

the remainder of cases were also all imports over the months after
so not too relevant either

as it is right now the only demographics that are important to us are on the community ground where the heat is

360 in a weeks time- unless we lockdown now. note that any measure will take 7-10 days to show an effect because if u get infected today on average u will show symptoms in about 5-7 days but then u have to test and wait for results

I would hardly suggest a second lockdown as an option. GORTT cant afford that. We borrowed billions to save jobs in the public sector the last time. We cannot do that a second time. What i would suggest is shutting down team sports(as seen in chaguanas, they attract a crowd) closing of bars and in house dining. Dr Parasram and Dr Rahman said these have been the been the most troublesome sectors when coming to MOH guidelines. Two bars on 6th street in barataria are the two most blatant offenders. Some people might lose jobns but that ios the case all over the world

Yes; no care whatsoever.

Can you imagine all that flag waving and shouting...how much stink Trini breath droplets are being spread.

People rubbing up with their sweaty arms....

Hugging and dancing...

But the PNM rallys are the worst. They are like animals and it actually has a stench from what i hear.

But Keith dont get on so wild...he does just do his little house negro wine and cool he self....

He has my vote.

Let us not forget the purpose of a lockdown. It's to flatten the curve to benefit health care workers. If the cases keep rising, we may have to lockdown to assist the health care workers with the influx of patients. You can't expect to live with covid especially with reports of how damaging it is to the body. And then children in school, nah man.

Educated 2nr's when y'all thing this pandemic gunna be over? Think its just getting started , probably by the end of 2021 before things go back to somewhat normal . 2022-2023 things should subside. The future is grim for this country mainly because of the mentality of the people and its gunna get worst. This is the first wave continued. No one taking heed. Only a matter of time before the health care system gets over run , cases are rampant.

Well people could stop that....if the healthcare system overloads, its not gortt or the doctors fault. The disease can be mitigated by wearing a mask, proper hygiene and social distancing
