Judging ONLY from the massive line-up at Audie's Dyno/Tune shop throughout the day (Friday) & after 9pm (when last I looked).......
it is clear that there will be a super impressive competition turnout tonight !!!!

horrible.

officially a complete failure of an event.

amazing coordination and planning, much props to mr douglas john, however the individuals running the event are what made this event a complete failure.

spectator reviews:
1. no fast cars
2. too many bikes
3. no hype
4. too few competitors, long delays between runs due to insufficient racers.

this was the first night event i've seen that parking was NOT an issue due to no attendance,
the pits were empty, the car park was empty, the stands were empty, this event had the same attendance as if it were a totally rained out event.

and in my honest opinion, TTUNDRA's event seemed 100 TIMES MORE EXCITING than this.

a night event with the grid and lanes EMPTY? wow!

this clearly says something spoken from the racers, and now the spectators, NARA should take heed and refrain from hosting events at Camden, as racers and spectators prefer to attend a much more coordinated event.

again, if not for mr douglas john, this event would have been 20 times worse.

and clearly the mention of the advertised 'grenada cars' on the port is left NO comment.

NARA needs to stop selling the public DREAMS.

rgds.

Turnout picked up alot later in the night. Hours of racing with the now and then car breaking down at the end of the track. There was a good turnout of fast street cars. Alot of cars that are rarely seen.

Racers ran over and over all night rather than the usual getting two passes maximum at a TTUNDRA event and letting the 'big boys' cut in front of the line and run whenever they please. That was a good change and very good for the more streetable cars.

Unlike TTUNDRA night events, there were lights in the pit area as early as 3:20pm. From around 7:45pm, there was continuous racing until after 12am. Alot of bikes were present but they are racers also and shouldn't be bashed for turning out to run.

As for the reason why the Grenada cars weren't present, it just so happens that someone 'accidentally' misplaced an important document that would clear the cars and they would be cleared on Monday. Good move TTUNDRA. You all can go on the port right now and see the cars are there!

I was very pleased with the night event and it was definitely worth it.

Really ? Will investigate your allegation of it being TTUNDRA's fault as I am a member.

who made the arrangements to bring the Grenadian cars? is there proof that TTUNDRA was responsible for this? seems like a fight down between these two drag racing association is brewing, which is not helping the advancement of the sport. :( :(

.
how everybody moving like PP Partnership 'member parties' so ??
.
I clearly remember when TTASA was 'in control' of Camden ,EVERY B!TCH N HE BRUDDER WAS PREACHING
advancement of the sport

.
suddenly , it's ttundra ppl telling it's members 'doh race in NARA events'.........& NARA openly saying it's one motorsport......this one sabotaging that one.........where does it end ??
.
anybody check & see who sitting quietly in the background laughing (note, I did not say 'not doing anything quietly...') ??
Like Jack's lesson in St.Joseph & the Local Gov't scene run off everybody like the proverbial water-off-a-duck's-back.
.
I say to NARA..........EXPOSE THE FULL DETAILS OF WHAT TRANSPIRED WITH THE NON-CLEARANCE OF THE GRENADA CARS & 'pelt stone'.
.
this is the kind of sheit that has T&T motor racing where it is.....
.

Sadly, there is a fight down taking place. Ttundra decides to hold their meeting the same day as NARA's registration for the event. They tell their members to not attend NARA's events, while NARA members attend all of their events.

There is definitely a fight down. Groups showing that they can't work together for the love of the sport and then wondering why drag racing is not moving forward. All people will hear about is what went wrong with this night event.

Why support a club like Ttundra when they show no support for other racing clubs. This sport isn't going forward. Its always taking a step back because everyone wants to get a piece of the cake.

Good day Everyone,

There will be a prepared article release that will clear up any and all details that led to the event Night Fury at Camden last evening.

This forum is used to put forward opinions, point of views and any information towards the motor sport of Drag Racing.."Ole Talk & News" is the heading and there is nothing i have seen or read that this forum is designed not to do.

To all Racers, patrons alike who attended, N.A.R.A says thank you for the support and continued feed back. Your input and presence is greatly appreciated.

To address points made that are factual:

Point made on lack of vehicles and racing: 72 entries for event

Lack of Vehicles and 'Scanty Event' :Event start time was 7pm till 2am: Vehicles came from 3 pm and was very few between 2pm and 6pm..Racers came in from 630 pm onwards. There were 23 tents empty at this Night Drag Event.

Event Being Dull and Boring: A point of view, however to racers and patrons that was there till after midnight may disagree with the point made. Racers that came out had the opportunity to showcase their vehicles as well as those that bettered their personal time as well as we saw some cars that have not been apart of racing for some time.

Grenada Contingent: There was an issue unforeseen and the fact remained the Vehicles are here as well as the relevant racers attended the event. As stated prior a release will be made to interested parties on the happenings of that situation that arose. The Tobago Cars were well represented

I have stated facts on the happenings as well as addressed some interesting points made and hope it clarify some statements made.

To 312vvl: Thank you for your kind words and i will continue to do my best

I will address the point bravely on the Topic of TTUNDRA VS NARA…Points made on the lack of support from racers are factual as it was clearly seen at the two events hosted to date. There will be no fight down or club vs club cause it takes two for that to happen…NARA will not partake in that point, the club is just here to host their events and provide the track for Racers and Patrons to enjoy..and that has been seen at both events thus far hosted by NARA.

TTUNDRA has been a force for three years or more and has seen the support of all racers alike and have made strifes towards having a better track, more race time etc..NARA will not be the only club dealing with issues internally at club level and also at the particular events they are hosting. Thats a Fact!. NARA has been straight forward with information to all interested parties..and the points made by SPEC S happens to be factual.
For every reason there is a cure if brought to the fore front of discussion.

I am addressing this from the position of Club PRO and personal observations…There are personal agendas and emotional grudges being seen when it comes to the point made of one club vs another. As the PRO of NARA i am respectfully asking all parties to not drag Either Clubs reputation into question…Fact is one club has been around the block longer and one happens to be the new kid…The personal indifferences are clear and should be that..Personal!…I am quite understanding about history between individuals in both said clubs but ask not to let it get in between the advancement in the Drag Racing Sport..Slow, Fast, Expensive, Cheap, Bikes, Cars, Rails, Imported, Locally Put together…whatever the vehicle, all are welcome to race, all should be on show at any event and most importantly all should be treated fairly and equally.

To supporters of TTUNDRA i will address your points of views as best as i can when brought forward and to Supporters of NARA i will do the same.

NARA will not prevent any car from racing once safety rules and other regulations are followed and maintained.

I hope the above clarify all points and it is definitely not intended to disrespect or offend.

Regards,

N.A.R.A

Russellgold,

It will be definitely looked at to have the decrease of spectator fees at future events as we continue to strive to have sponsors support to do so..

Douglas, I am the person who NARA contacted to help them clear the cars off of the port. I have been clearing race cars for numerous clubs for racing events in T&T for the past 15 years with no problems. I've done this for international cars for numerous clubs and personal individuals with no issues, however you cannot expect to ship a car and have it cleared without any legal documents!

NARA called me on Friday 6th telling me about the cars coming in and that they needed assistance to clear it. I said bring all the documents and I will help, however NARA had none of these documents and only up until Friday 13th all they had was the import license a day before the event. There was no bond, the club had no N number to import these cars, there was basically no approval.

It is NO ONE but NARA themselves to blame for the Grenada cars being stuck on the port. NARA had NO documentation for the importation of these cars. NARA thought that they could put the cars on a boat and then get a minister to override customs when the cars get here, but that is not how things work legally.

If NARA had their documents in order the cars would have been cleared by customs the same day the boat arrived with no problems.
