nah dan...TTPS have been VERY wrong about who they shoot at in the past...I wouldn't label everybody that collect police bullet as a bandit jus so, especially after what I went thru with them last year. Had I been killed, allyuh woulda hear a different story about me.

Hook ah know ah late here buh hear meh out---
Kerron- Went to school with him- no car thief (like what they trying to say)- but drugs, no child support, quick to start fight with bottle and blade, rape a disable gyal (and breed she)

Abigail- using man for land and then wukking obeah on the people who renting them the land... kidnap her cousin, crash people car and forget bout helping out the payment, etc.

Shumba gyal- just fuh she chupidness for liming Shumba she supposed to get whatever Shumba entitled to.

These are people that died for crimes that were not theirs, Kerron by far was the only one that shoulda lived (even though the disabled thing get breed- buh she end up liking him). People does pay for their crimes some way or the other, if Shumba was in the car we would be praising the police for the swift justice applied to a car filled with drug dealers and gun man. My only issue with this is that after realizing their error, the police did not have to kill them off to quiet the truth... cause now people done know that the man that pay the police not in TnT no more... so justice is still not going to be served

i was on that side of the fence... whoever have me on fb would know that... if i died back then for something i didnt do... my family hadda hold a strain, its my fault.

A whole decade update...

HOSTILE WITNESS
Fearful for her safety...

Image
Flashback, March 2012: Police Constable Nicole Clement, centre, is escorted to the Princes Town Magistrates’ Court.

THE State’s main witness in the 2011 police killing of three persons in Barrackpore refused to give evidence yesterday when the matter was called at the Hall of Justice as she is concerned for her safety.

The trial of Sgt Khemraj Sahadeo, PC Ronald Riveiro, PC Glenn Singh, PC Roger Nicholas, PC Safraz Juman and PC Antonio Ramadhin resumed before Justice Carla Browne-Antoine.

They are charged with the murders of Abigail Johnson, 23, Alana Duncan, 28, and Kerron “Fingers” Eccles, on July 22, 2011, in Barrackpore.

The six officers are being represented by a team of attorneys including Israel Khan, SC, Ulric Skerritt and Arissa Maharaj.

The State is being represented by a team of attorneys led by Gilbert Petterson, SC, and includes Elaine Greene, Giselle Ferguson-Heller and Katiesha Ambrose-Persadsingh.

WPC Nicole Clement, who was the State’s main witness, appeared yesterday and took the stand but she quickly and repeatedly informed the court, “I will not be giving evidence.”

She was pressed several times by Peterson, SC, and each time she respectfully declined to respond to his questions.

She said that she was not giving evidence because of “safety and security concerns”.

After she declared that she “will not be speaking further”, she was deemed a hostile witness by Justice Brown-Antoine.

Deposition read

The deposition which Clement gave during the preliminary enquiry was then read out to the jury.

In that statement, she said she had previously been assigned to the robbery squad of the San Fernando police station, and had known each of the six officers for about three to four years, prior to the 2011 incident.

Prior to the incident, the officers had received intelligence that a man known as Shumba James, who was wanted for murder, was in the area.

In the deposition, Clement claimed that PC Singh related information from Snr Supt Baldeo which indicated that “if anything go wrong they will take care of the mopping-up exercise.”

This statement, she said previously, meant that “if anyone was killed, they see about covering the police.”

Clement then left with the six officers to find James.

She said that they were told James was armed with two AK47 rifles.

According to the deposition, questions were raised about Johnson, who was known to be James’ girlfriend, and if any other persons were in the car.

Clement stated that PC Singh’s alleged response was “bullets don’t have male or female written on it and if it come so what we will do.”

The officers then went to an auto shop on Rochard Douglas Road in Barrackpore.

This was when the ordeal began.

According to the deposition, PC Ramadhin shouted, “look the vehicle” before there was a series of loud explosions.

Clement said she took cover before running out, returning fire using her licensed MP5 rifle.

After the shooting, Clement said that she saw a woman sitting motionless in the driver’s seat of a white B15.

Sgt Sahadeo, according to the deposition, had a “ridiculous look on his face”.

She then heard the voice of a woman, and observed someone on the left side of the vehicle sitting on the ground.

The woman, according to the deposition, said that “is not we allyuh want. Is Shumba James, He was in the car in front and it gone.”

Clement tried to help this woman, and observed that one of her legs was almost amputated near the ankle.

This was the only injury that Clement observed on the woman.

She said she told the woman that she would be taken to the hospital.

However, the woman reportedly asked, “officer alya going and kill meh?”

Clement, according to the deposition, then claimed that she observed a man nearby who did not appear to have any injuries.

It was said that the two were then placed in a police vehicle, and then driven on the M2 Ring Road.

Clement’s deposition claimed that PC Riveiro received a call, following which he uttered “the corpy say to finish them.”

She later clarified that she took that to mean “kill them”.

The two police vehicles then drove into a gravel road off the M2 Ring Road.

They came to a stop shortly after, and according to Clement’s deposition, PC Riveiro asked for the firearm as well as a latex glove.

She went to the back of one of the police vehicles, and heard gunshots some time later.

She was “very scared” at the time, according to the deposition.

Riveiro then approached her and handed her a pistol.

She said that she observed a man and a woman lying on the gravel road.

At the time, the woman was breathing heavily.

The deposition stated that the two were then placed in the trunk of one of the vehicles, and that PC Riveiro put a pistol in the man’s hand and fired a single shot from the gun.

The trial resumes today.

He was eventually caught and charged for a 2005 home invasion. He was acquitted in August 2023 and is now a witness in this case.

TRIPLE-MURDER COVER-UP – Cop claims plot hatched on San Fernando Hill

WOMAN police constable Nicole Clement admitted she signed a report on the killing of three Moruga friends in 2011 knowing it was false.

That report was the initial report the seven officers involved in the fatal police shooting on July 22, 2011, were required to give about the incident.

Clement was one of those officers. She and her colleagues Sgt Khemraj Sahadeo, along with PCs Ronald Riveiro, Glenn Singh, Roger Nicholas, Safraz Juman and Antonio Ramadhin were initially charged with the murders of Abigail Johnson, 23, Alana Duncan, 28, and Kerron “Fingers” Eccles.

However, the three murder charges against her were discontinued in 2012, after the Director of Public Prosecutions gave her immunity to turn state witness and testify against the six.

The six are now facing a judge and 12-member jury in the Port of Spain High Court for the murders and Clement has since said she “would not be giving evidence” at the trial.

On Monday, trial judge Carla Brown-Antoine deemed Clement a hostile witness and the reading of the testimony she gave at the Princes Town magistrates court at the preliminary inquiry into the murders has started, after which lead prosecutor Gilbert Peterson, SC, and the defence team of Israel Khan, SC, and Ulric Skerrit will question her further.

On Tuesday, Clement returned as scores of pages of her testimony were read. The only time she spoke was to recite the affirmation of the truthfulness of her evidence.

It was during her cross-examination by Khan at the preliminary inquiry that Clement spoke about the “one squad, one song” police culture indoctrinated from “training at the barracks.” She said she knew the report she signed was not true but said she did so because it was “normal police culture.”

“Everyone sticks together…That is how we were trained to corroborate and write one report. That is the way we were trained. When something happens, we corroborate and write one report so our story will be along the same lines.”

According to her testimony at the inquiry, it was while she was on remand on the three murder charges that she gave three statements to the police.

Clement also said the murder charges against her were “false.”

“I did nothing to be charged with three counts of murder.”

She also said she did not give the three statements so the DPP could drop the charges against her, but because they were the “truth.”

After the charges were discontinued, she was charged with conspiracy to pervert the course of justice. Khan then questioned her on the conditions of the immunity she received.

Earlier in her testimony, she again spoke of the “second” crime scene where, according to her, two of the three friends who survived the “gunfight” at Barrackpore were taken and shot.

While leaving the lonely gravel road off the M2 Ring Road, she said Riveiro exclaimed, “Oh f--k, doh tell me I shoot the tyre,” since one of the tyres was wobbling. He determined it was a stone.

Some 20 minutes later, they then put the sirens on and treated it as an emergency while they made their way to the Princes Town health facility.

She also said, while there, Singh exclaimed, “Like the f---ing man eh want to dead.”

While at the health facility, Clement said she was “horrified” since she believed the victims’ family, who had already gathered there, would attack them, as they had already started to hurl abuse at them. She said she refused to go into the examination room and also spoke of a relative of the man taking a four-year-old child to see his body.

Later, she said one of her colleagues assured, “Don’t worry, they fixing up everything,” meaning the Homicide Division “will fix up for police in police shootings.”

That night, Clement said she slept on the floor at home. The next day, the seven officers were given seven days’ leave after meeting with a social worker.

“I felt I was going crazy at home and needed to talk to someone.”

She spoke to her pastor.

Days later, she reported to the robbery squad at the San Fernando Police Station, where she and the six others were assigned.

She said Singh and Sahadeo drew sketches but she did not understand the adjustments made. They met again at the robbery squad offices, where she said she signed the report prepared for her, “knowing it was incorrect.”

In her testimony, Clement spoke of the team meeting on at least two occasions at the San Fernando Hill to draw sketches of the adjusted crime scene, which, she again said, she did not understand.

She said on one of those occasions, Singh told her Special Branch officers were going to meet with them but would question her, since she was considered the weakest link.

Clement said she started rejecting his phone calls because she felt they were taking her for a ride.

She also said two of her colleagues were planning a trip to Tobago during their time off and she told them she did not think a Tobago lime at that time was a good idea.

Also at the inquiry, Clement said she was told acting deputy commissioner of police Raymond Craig, the lead investigator in the murders, was “assisting them” and “they will organise for the file to go missing” if an inquest was ordered into the murders of the three friends.

Singh, she said, kept saying, “Give it time, it will work out,” while Riveiro said the commissioner “wouldn’t want to lock up seven police officers.”

Questioned by Khan, Clement said when she and her colleagues left the station that night, it was her belief they were going on a lawful exercise.

In earlier testimony, she said they were on the lookout for a man named Shumba James, who was allegedly wanted for a double murder, and who was said to be carrying two AK47 rifles in a white Nissan B15.

The three friends were in that car when the officers shot at it at the corner of Gunnes Trace and Rochard Douglas Road, Barrackpore. James was the intended target and had previously been in the car, since Duncan was his common-law wife and they had gone bar hopping before deciding to go to Barrackpore for barbecue. Shortly before the incident, he met two other friends and drove in their car.

Clement admitted she took cover behind one of the police vehicles when the shooting started after Ramadhin shouted, “Look the vehicle.”

She then ran out from behind the vehicle and opened fire “in the direction of the white car.” Clement said she could not say if she hit the vehicle or anybody with the MP5 automatic weapon she was carrying.

She also did not see or hear where the earlier shots were coming from.

In response to Khan, Clement said they did not go to kill anybody, but went there to do their lawful duty.

She also said at that time, she was under the impression their lives were under threat. It was when they left the first crime scene and vehicles diverted from conveying the three to the hospital, the “lies began.”

Clement will return to court on Wednesday as the trial continues.

Also appearing for the six police officers is attorney Arissa Maharaj. Also appearing for the State are Elaine Greene, Giselle Ferguson-Heller and Katiesha Ambrose-Persadsingh.
