how come the spool on this Stradic looking so shallow? is it to accommodate a bigger drag or something?

It looks like a culmination between the aerowrap tech and ar-c spool that shimano uses in their long cast, slow oscillation reels for getting greater distance. Those particular models are grouped under an hgs submodel which is high gear, shallow spool, also found in the 2011 biomaster lineup.

Sometimes it's file size or image size that's why I host my pics on flickr to save that headache of resizing.

That's more river/backwater tarpon like caroni. Them ting swimming in old diesel and pampers lol normal when it come down from all them mechanics who dumping it. Sea tarpon tastes different and not muddy/off but the fact remains its a terrible fish to eat imo lol, think about herring, that's their bone structure and the flesh doesn't flake and holds a ridiculous amount of water. I know alot of trinis go crazy for it though lol. Those guys sell it in the market I think.

ok I figured it had something to do with distance casting.

Tarpon are catch and release, they really don't taste good and have way to many bones! most ppl who say tarpon taste good eat them in a broth where the pepper and spices drown out the actual taste. That and their value is higher alive to bring the sport fishermen down than dead on a tasteless boney plate or over peppered soup bowl. Next is cavalli they don't taste to good either and are known to have alot of worms, make sure you bleed them and skin them first! Nurse sharks are next, sorry knowing them and where they like to live it's like eating cat fish, may taste good but yuck! sharks in general you need to bleed them out of as much blood as you can or else they smell ( and taste ) like pee, cause it is their urine in their blood! rays to I think. Cro cro are damn meat less for their size but tasty, red fish and snapper in general are yummy, lots of bones to but worth it, king fish and siera/creo/spanish mackerel just steak em, season with lime and what ever you fancy and cook. Ya I'm hungry lunch was sushi 4 hrs ago and I want some more!

Nurse shark is probably the best tasting shark right next to mako. East coast they're eating 10lb lobsters, crab, urchins and jumbo shrimp off the shallow reefs :)
