Theoretically, the Focus should deliver competitive acceleration due to its dual clutch transmission. The Kuga 1.6T pulls nicely, I suppose if you aren't ready to dish out Forester or Tiguan money might as well buy a Kuga.

btw the focus is 239k and comes with free service and insurance. Not sure for how much years though.

five years

That isn't sounding too bad now though.

Allu dont think they giving you some special deal with that, on top of that 249 you paying 8% loan over 5 to 7 years.
Which works out to be alot ....

let's say you buying a basic elantra for $170k..by the time you pay for insurance for 5 years + service, you would have paid approx. an additional $90k. Add that to the $170k and you get $260k + interest whereas the Focus is $239k + interest. Not bad.

Unless you include people that qualify for lots of discounts with insurance.
I would probably spend less than 40K over 5 years with an Elantra.

I'm of the opinion that I should not hang my hat where I can't reach. If I have to buy a car on loan, I'd look for a cheaper option, something I could afford at once and not have to owe the bank.

once you have your 4 years no claim discount, the insurance not gonna be that much.

What ansa does is a take a car add their sizable mark up and that's your cash price. Then they add another mark up (like 30K on their civic) and say that's the All in one price then your interest will probably work up to another 60+K

Best you take the car cash price, get a bank that will give you the loan at lower rate like 6% and don't drive your car like you hate it and the service it at regular intervals and trust me you wont be paying all in one prices for your new ride.
Remember stealerships primary concern is not how to keep more money in your wallet, its the other way around.

New Vehicle Prices In Trinidad & Tobago

Postby Allergic2BunnyEars » April 10th, 2015, 11:41 am

How much yall tally up the service costs to be over five years?

I don't know the exact servicing costs of the focus but I assume it's similar to other cars in that price bracket. So say three times a year @ $1000 per service that's $15000 over five years. Maybe one major service each year @ $4000? So that's $20,000 over five years. $35,000 over five years plus insurance of approximately $40,000? So $75,000 over five years added to the cash price of the focus sounds about right if you didn't take all in one?

Idk how much these sell for outside the firm (RORO) but MASSY has me thinking about joining the diesel lifestyle, that price is nice.

The sonata we getting here is the 2.0 turbo or the 2.4L???
Looks like a really good alternative to the jap and euro offerings.

If you drive in traffic you'd see why people want automatic. The only time I ever get fed up if a manual is having to drive north South in traffic. It's exhausting. That said manual ftw!

That and also if you need your significant other to drive you home if you drink to much. ... Power delivery is smoother giving you more breathing room on wet roads
It also cruises at a higher speed than the manual gearbox equivalent. ... in the hilux anyway

I use tiptronic for beach runs. Otherwise is auto. Hell no to anything but auto on a general roadway in trinidad.

if you judge how 'alpha' a man is by the transmission he prefers, you are doing it wrong.

And you will never hear me champion an auto over a manual. Manuals are fun all the time. Even in traffic and especially on beach runs.
