The Mazda 3, Focus and Cruze might be a little on the slower end and the Civic and Elantra/Cerato would lean on the quicker end. Theoretically, the Focus should deliver competitive acceleration due to its dual clutch transmission. The Kuga 1.6T pulls nicely, I suppose if you aren't ready to dish out Forester or Tiguan money might as well buy a Kuga.
btw the focus is 239k and comes with free service and insurance. Not sure for how much years though.
five years
That isn't sounding too bad now though.
acesinghit wrote:let's say you buying a basic elantra for $170k..by the time you pay for insurance for 5 years + service, you would have paid approx. an additional $90k. Add that to the $170k and you get $260k + interest whereas the Focus is $239k + interest. Not bad.

I'm of the opinion that I should not hang my hat where I can't reach. If I have to buy a car on loan, I'd look for a cheaper option, something I could afford at once and not have to owe the bank.

Looks like a really good alternative to the jap and euro offerings.

If you drive in traffic you'd see why people want automatic. The only time I ever get fed up if a manual is having to drive north South in traffic. It's exhausting. That said manual ftw!

That and also if you need your significant other to drive you home if you drink to much. ... Power delivery is smoother giving you more breathing room on wet roads
It also cruises at a higher speed than the manual gearbox equivalent. ... in the hilux anyway
