A 3-0 whitewash in the ODIs for Pakistan would relegate WI to 9th spot on the ICC rankings and they would no longer be in the top 8 ODIs teams in contention for an automatic spot in the 2019 World Cup as the cutoff date is Sep 30th 2017. WI are not in the Champions Trophy and have limited time to move up the rankings between now and the cutoff date next year with 10 ODIs scheduled 9 against England home and away.
Failure to move out of the 9th spot entails having to play in a qualifying tournament with the likes of Zimbabwe, Afghanistan, Ireland etc and tbh I'm not so sure they they would be a winner in that.
