I watching it since yesterday. I can confirm everything I said. You can actually see the flash of the taser when it was fired. The officer brakes and stumbled while trying to avoid the taser hitting him. In the beginning until Brooks started misbehaving the interaction between them was cordial.

But you as an officer instruct a drunk driver to operate his car?

Why chase a guy when you have his car and details?

You shoot and kill a guy for this?

I guess BLM paying the salaries and bills of the Wendy’s employees that don’t have a workplace tomorrow.

Once again, silence from BLM about burning down a business that had nothing whatsoever to do with this situation.

No he was shot because he resisted arrest by fighting back, grabbing the taser..firing the taser, .which arguably shows quite a bit of intent. If he tased the cop....he very well could have grabbed the gun.
In this environment he escalated..and crossed a line.

It’s state of mind at the moment...not hindsight Armchair quarterbacking

Yes. I just cannot follow the logic that goes in to The decision to burn and loot establishments, especially when those establishments form part of your own community.

You don't instruct a drunk driver to operate his car.

Officer did not do his job .

That's why he was fired

He started fighting back when they tried to arrest him and hand cuff him, after breathalyzing him.
So he violently resisted arrest.

Go read my post on the last page and see where I said he should not be shot. I'm just stating the facts , which you left out , that escalated the whole situation.

If he had let the officers put on the handcuffs and went into the car to be taken to the station to be charged , what would have been the situation today ? Because up to then everything was going smooth. Zoomrader , you defending PNM behaviour?

Yup I know you did.

The officers pressed for an arrest, that's why they asked him to operate the car.

There are countless cases where drunk people sleep in their cars and until they operate it police can't arrest them.

They pushed for that arrest

Instructing him to move out of the line ( they explained to him that he was in the drive thru line and instructed him to move to the parking lot . At that time they didn't know he was drunk . It was only after when he came out of the car seemingly off balance , then you hear one saying words to the effect that he was drunk . Then the field sobriety test was administered.

Once you behind the wheel you could be charged , you are in control of the vehicle. He dropped asleep in the line and they called 911 . He wasnt in the parking lot sleeping .

Officer was eager for an arrest.

He failed to call for back up, normaly extra men would have been there pronto for officer safety.

They did not follow protocol

Spann , officers will intimidate you to fight back so that they can trump up extra charges on you.

Think about it DUI in a parking lot?

You might aswell be drunk in your car under your house.

Under they house is not the public area where they could kill your family with they arsehole irresponsible behaviour. Brooks could have gone back on the road and killed multiple persons . Two things I don't support is drunk driving and speeding . If you crash into a pole and go home by yourself is okay , but when you want to carry me or my children with you ,is a different story.

You don't ever trust US & UK cops,

The nicer they are the more charges they build on you.

You don't ever talk to cops, everything you say goes against you .

I just checked and the law is that if you are behind the wheel and the key is in the ignition , even if you are asleep and the car is off , it's DUI. Also in a parking lot. Just Google it.

Not in court it is.

If you get in an accident in PT Lisas estate, local cops dont respond.

Then again locsl cops dont really respond to normal citizens

At the point where the man fought off the arresting officers and grabbed the taser....the dui became irrelevant.
