Why is this news? Who cares if the businessman have 2 or 200 demerit points. Jusso a senior source in Licensing can ups and get people business plastered up in the media?

What next? A news article from a senior source in the Family Court about a particular father who hasn't paid maintenance in 10 years?

Well it points out a flaw in the system , while it is true all systems have flaws this shows that is either you tighten such or completely get rid of it. You can't be threatening to take away a man license for a year or two when a man with 32 infractions on the system still has his. It opens the flood gates for litigation , the government really don't want that atm...

How many Chinese can't speak a word of English but yet magically have a driver's permit

The Chinese use one permit for revolving Chinese. One permit serves about 5 of them that can't speak conversational English nor can they read

In other countries there are provisions that allow you to get a license of the same class as your home country without doing any sort of test.

Does trinidad have the same allowances? That you have an American or Canadian or Chinese license that you can get a local license of the same class?

PH taxi peeps are widely known in Trini for a " rape ah man " car .

You really think the permits will be valid ?

Did you mean to type ‘raper-man’ as opposed to ‘rape ah man’?

Im betting future investigations into this case will reveal he is a relative of someone in Government or has close friends in licensing office.
