Tuner caters for many demographics, not everyone buys newspapers or watches local TV, just look at the amount of people who visit TT to ask a random question and end up using tuner to buy stuff, I sure there are many lurkers who don't even post but use here as an online marketplace. How much of the stuff you see advertising here you see in the newspapers or on TV.

you are saying not everyone buy newspapers or watches local tv but that number is far less than people who are simply unaware of this website.
99% of people i know who know about this website is because they are primarily into cars/car audio. what about everybody else? they simply do not know tuner exists.
eg. i first heard about this website when i was looking to buy car speakers. never heard of tuner before that.
there are 1.3 million people in trinidad. the day tuner starts getting anything close to a million visitors or members ill change my mind. and im sure the powerseller price will increase to suit.

Google analytics reports that TriniTuner.com gets around 11 million monthly pageviews from between 130,00 and 145,000 individuals visiting the site each month; 82% of whom are in T&T.

It is difficult to tell with any accuracy how much people view or respond to ads on TV or newspapers.

Powerseller was introduced in 2004 at $600 for 6 months when our traffic numbers were around 1/8th of what it is now. We have not increased the price since then. Newspaper classifieds have increased in price since then. For this price TriniTuner offers multiple listings, unlimited text, colour ads, photos, video, the ability to interact with the buyer using the same medium and the ability to see exactly how much views and responses your ad has received for the money you've spent. Our ads are interactive and dynamic and can be edited numerous times after it is published. Powersellers can also moderate their own ad topics.

Also for advertising to be effective you need to be sure you are reaching your target audience for the advertising money you are spending. You do not want your budget to be spread out that a large part of it is reaching old ladies, housewives and young children when you are selling high end electronics.

So I agree when you say

This idiot keeps creating accounts almost every other day to advertise his business. Is it that hard to apply for powerseller status? Jeez.

BTW, the two previous posts were about the same thing that he does.
