No, not a Hemi but Wedge. "63 Dodge Polara 500 powered by pre-Hemi Max Wedge.

Yes that is very true... most of the big muscle coming out of Detroit in the late 60's were grossly underrated, mostly for insurance purposes. Big displacement V8's running high octane gas was the recipe for massive numbers.

I was thinking it was the earlier 413CID Max Wedge though.
