IMO
Gaga - radical- overdone steak that has such great potential but overshoots.
Adele- simple- tank tested music that tries to force emotion.
Personally if i want substantial' type music a mix of what those two artists bring to the table i'm thinking jazz of the likes of holly cole, norah jones and diana krall.
