Considering the kind of market we have in T&T and knowing how the stealerships do business, I'm not quite confident that we'll get the new 3.2-litre Ford Duratorq TDCi I5 on the models that would make it here.

Might be one of those "special order" deals again.... it was the same issue when I was ready to buy. Couldn't get the 3.0 DuraTorq with a manual unless it was a special order and even then it was too expensive.

I too tried to enquire about the 3.0TDCi in manual trans. Sales rep told me it was special order only and I'd have to pay 50% down, plus wait 3-5 months. Then when I said I wasn't quite ready to buy and I'd put an order later on, he got very rude.


Special oprder my fat hairy @ss. I'll special order a big shovelful of my dog's poop right on their doorstep.

if i had the money, i would buy the 3.2 6sp.

i really find the 5sp too short for the h/way....i always lookin for a 6th gear now....so would order up if i had to change vans.

Looks like we could see a model change locally some time (maybe late) next year, the Aussie website indicated that it'll be coming to Asia-Pacific in 2011.... seeing that we get our models out of asia anyways.

Trade-in's sound good... but make sure you get an up to date vehicle valuation (from a reputable firm) before you go into the stealership.

I'm not sure if I'd want to change my vehicle, kinda getting used to the fact that almost everything is low-tech and easy to fix in the model I have. I'll wait and see how the paper flowing next year....if things looking up, I'll maybe have two Rangers

These "Deals" seldom work to our financial benefit when dealing with this bunch.

Got a quotation for a Ranger Thunder - sale price was $263,000 - with the "In One" plan, price got jacked up to almost $300,000 (a little less than that).

Included 3 years insurance from tatil, and 5 years servicing, plus roadside assistance for 3 years.

Not worth it, imo.

Bur I really wanna see what kind of prices they gonna call for the new ranger come next year summer/fall season.

trade ins are always a rip off with the firm - they always tell you - you will get more value if you sold it outside...
i find they takin real long for the new set to come down

i really hope the entertainment system doesnt suck cause i am not seeing much you can change there - the stereo is built into the dash pretty complex with steering wheel controls etc.

the bt-50 went to the more feminine side - why did they do that??? it was always regarding as a manly ride...they just spoil it - look who they choose to design the truck - a flippin gay fella , no wonder it turn out that way.
