If this is SS they are a waste when we got our A4 1 key was programmed when I went to them they said the usual we are sorry, blah, blah. I found a tutorial on Audizine an programmed the key myself (came in handy for battery change), the same with a Q7 purchased later on.
Can't believe the same nonsense is taking place.

I love my Audi but quality of customer service locally

I'll quote myself from earlier in the thread.

We have had no issues with Sterling so far.We had a concern once and they accommodated us immediately and fixed the problem free of charge. The 20k km service was a bit but then they changed all filters and pads.So I'm satisfied so far.

15,000km service on a nissan qashqai cost around $1000 iirc

$500 being labour to change oil and filter :/

Also made some complaints about random clicks and such but they said they heard nothing although 2 mechanics I gave a ride asked if I have a ball in the trunk and why my gear laver clicked.

it appears when it comes to after sale service, the ranks are:

1st: Diamond Motors
2nd: Lifestyle Motors
3rd: Neal & Massy
4th: Toyota
5th: Best Auto
6th: Practically everyone else
Last: Southern Sales
??

I'd put lifestyle 1st and best auto 2nd, then massy and Tttl from my experience.

@ 20,000 kms I'm insterested in finding out why that service is so expensive, liking the C Class too..... subscribed to find out about those sensors...a labour breakdown would be helpful too.

My A4 service usually costs around $2500, that is basic brakes(I supply my own), rotation, oil, filters, etc. the only BIG service I had came up to about 11k that was 100,000 and I changed everything coils, belts, tensioners, pulleys, etc some items they said didn't have to change but for me it was a must, still feels like a new vehicle now clocking 103K.

allblacks is that a standard service, what sensors were changed, still under warranty??

At 20,000 km what sensors could need changing? Those things shouldn't go bad so quickly. That service bill isn't adding up, especially for a C class. The warranty for Mercedes is 2 years unlimited mileage, so may be he crossed the 2 years and had some bad sensors. But still those sensors shouldn't go bad after 2 years....maybe 4 or 5 but not after 2 years. The bill for the A4 isn't bad, quite a lot being done. But I would like to know if the newer A4's ....say a 1yr or 2 yrs are around the same bill. Anyone with a 3 series...service costing??

No was service B,service A is about $800.

The filters were the major items and the 2 sets of pads.you can get much cheaper Oem pads.

Still $9,000 is a lot for a service of a relatively new vehicle. May be a S class or E class but not an entry level Mercedes. I might have fainted on hearing that bill....lol. I'll take my chances with Audi or BMW

They probably change things before their time or according to a timed interval regardless of driving style. I can see a ramped up bill with things like brake pads changed, wipers, pollen filters, air filters, oil, oil filter after one year of driving or 20000 km. Parts price stink and labour would be high as well plus VAT. I suspect you could tell them don't change everything to reduce the bill. Buying an audi or bmw may not automatically get one away from that as they are pretty similar anyways.

If you wait until the 'check brake' warning light comes on then the sensors are screwed and you have to replace them.

The last time I did a B service I think it cost me about $3,000 and that also included 2 brake sensors.
