Hey guys I need an ID on this bait...sabiki'd some this morning. Caught a zapate on a livie.
Seems to resemble the brazilian silverside but dunno locally. Views? The flesh is very very tough.

I'm guessing you have to know someone in the coastguard to get in there to fish.....?

we fished at the rivers mouth or "salmon hole". sometimes we go to the right as well. we set out two live baits but when we reeled in both hooks were empty, live baits were gone :( . first time i trying this live bait thing lol. anyways heres a pic of the two "monsters' we caught with dead bait.

I'm finished! Took me about 2 weeks, can go larger but rows are each taking an hour + Around 5 1/2' diameter.

impressive, is this going to be live a river net or a sea net which pulls the bottom up to the centre ?

Sea, all you have to do is attach braille lines to the lead line, that pulls the lead together and closes the net forming a bag. That's known as an english net. It's a 1 inch mesh which is kinda large so either mullet or some bigger baits like jacks it'll be meant for. I couldn't manage a smaller mesh that would take too damn long lol.

I had a 8ft a while back, throwing a cast net is real technique
