Laughlin, SSL, Tool House, PriceSmart, Allied (was out of stock when I checked in January).

The blue Ford posted above is a small jack but PriceSmart also had a big Ford Racing jack a few months ago.

Pricesmart also had the Arcan XL some time ago. That is a garage grade jack.

Morning folks, anyone knows where I can get 3/8" stainless steel staples? Checked a few hardwares and upholstery suppliers and they just have the regular ones.

for regular size drilling a cordless lithium is the way to go now
more torque and rpm control, 110v just cant compete

ldg have a sale on now for a m18 combo of hammer and impact driver $2k incl 3 batteries
seems like a good deal

Wow I had one cordless for around the home around 10 years ago but I found it was so weak that I decided to never go back to them and the battery was never that great but I guess I can go back to trying them now

I tend to agree. You can't beat the convenience, there's plenty of power for drilling, adjustable clutches for screws, and the recharge time is fast.

All of the major brands offer very good tools now. For something big, I prefer a cord. But for anything else or when water is a factor, I just go cordless.

^Yup. Took the plunge about a month ago and bought a Bosch 12v combo with drill/driver, impact driver and two batteries.

The drill/driver along with a box of bits lives on my work table now. Haven't had to break out the corded monster once...8-)

the hilti market

Dewalt and makita already have some nice compact battery powered SDS units.
But in the 250US price range.
Even have vacuum attachments for dust.

torx going cheap

I going and get the driver bit set and drill bits for $175

I wonder if the sds plus drill bits can be cut with angle grinder to remove the sds spline section
to use in a regular drill chuck

You can cut a drill bit with a grinder.

Tactix and Ingco are both value brands from China. You can probably buy a masonry drill bit set from either of them for about the same price locally at various hardwares. L&DG may even carry them.

Makita is another brand to look for. They have manufacturing in China, also. Makita doesn't do as much advertising as some peers but their power tools and accessories tend to work well, last long and have fair prices.

Morning all.
I am building a fish stand for a 75 gallon tank...and bought the 2x4 dressed and cut to the lengths I need...uh almost...

Is there anywhere in south that would rent a small table saw so that I can trim and square off the ends ?
Thx

For about the same cost as a rental, you could also consider purchasing a manual miter saw and box. For the 10 or 12 cuts you may need, it may be faster and easier than lugging a power saw to your home and back.
