^ agreed...I said that a while ago...Man U need a player like a Ribery...getting to predictable with the play...a midfield of Carrick and Fletcher is always more workmanlike than creative

Not sure what giving allyuh the idea that
1. Liverpool will let Torres go and
2. They will let him go to Utd

Same goes for Fabregas.

"It might be a dream and Arsenal will unlikely sell their prized asset to United, BUT, if the London’s club continue to underachieve and their captain continue to be frustrated – I say why not go for him" S.A.F said so in an interview .....

Liverpool gone through . But he signed a contract at the beginning of the season till 2013 so they would have to buy him out of the contract in addition to the exorbitant price which Liverpool will call for him. Him and Gerrard are Liverpool's only hope to build a team around in the future, I don't think they will be willing to let him go easily.

It is unlikely that he would move to Utd as they may refuse to sell their best player to their main rivals. A few years ago Utd refused to sell Gabriel Heinze to Liverpool and hes a goat, much less for the most feared striker in Europe

I think if Fabregas leaves Arsenal it will be to Barca, perfect match. Just my opinion.

Ok Rafa now saying they will be forced to sell him if they don't qualify for CL. I still don't think it will be to Utd though especially with City willing to offer 100 million.

That's because Chelsea have kept Utd in the race with some equally shitty performances. They should have opened up at least a 9 point gap by now, which would see the league wrapped up by April. I fear that Chelsea don't have any more gears to go through though, so it will be a close race. The overall competitiveness of the league has improved as well.

:?

What financial crisis? :|

They are financed by a billionaire owner. They have the funds available to buy any player.

Yes but that debt falls into the lap of the billionaire owner. Operating losses are inevitable with the amount of money they are spending on players but all the owner has to do then is convert his investment into equity as the article says has been done, this will restructure the balance sheet and present a healthy financial position for the club. In effect, the club owes the owner which means it really doesn't owe anything.

What the owners must try to do is make the club into a self sustaining entity in the near future. The club must be able to run itself as a business and not depend on the owner's financial backing in order to survive because if the owners were to pull their money, it would be in serious distress. In other words, the owner will continue to cover the losses with a view to making the club a successful one and one which will generate profit in the future thus obtaining a return on their investment. Understand?

Man City now is essentially what Chelsea were 6 years ago...the bullies of the trasnfer market...the difference is that they could turn that into success for 2 years and create a pedigree, while City are still unable to do that...

Imho, its because City are buying players for being good rather than for fitting a system...Mourinho knew what he wanted and bought around it...Hughes bought and then tried to fit...

Also, Chelsea had the big advantage of a shitty Liverpool, an aging Arsenal and a rebuilding United...City sorta has the same with a young Arsenal, a shitty Liverpool, an aging Chelsea and again a rebuilding United...however, they can't take advantage of it in an increasingly competitive league...
Throw Aston Villa or Spurs into the UCL and they'll prolly beat half the teams left in there...

With regard to the financial aspect...equal2zero is right...you build a succesful club that earns enough revenue through attracting fans to tickets and merchandising as well as trophies and the reward that comes with it...that in turn takes care of the large wages and trsanfer fees etc...
Its how United have survived with all the debt...they earn enough money to cover it, and are the only big club in Europe i think that pays less than 50% of their revenue in players' salaries...
