Google Nexus 10 leaks: Android 4.2, Exynos 5250 (1.7GHz), 2,560 x 1,600 resolution

Image

Unless we're looking at one of the most elaborately photographed fakes in the world, this is the Nexus 10. With the Nexus 7 apparently going over quite well at just $199, it was only ever a matter of time before the Nexus family expanded to house a 10-incher. With Google's own Vic Gundotra posting images from a unit that he's using at some exotic locale, it seems that another unit has slipped beneath the camera at BriefMobile. The site has managed to apprehend one of the 10.1-inch slates, and in turn has discovered quite the bounty of information.

Internally, there's (reportedly) a dual-core 1.7GHz Samsung Exynos 5250, a Mali-T604 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage (though no microSD expansion slot), a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera, NFC / WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and a Super AMOLED panel with a drool-worthy 2,560 x 1,600 screen resolution -- yeah, that's well into "Retina" territory at 298.9 pixels per inch. You may recognize that Exynos 5250 from Google's recently released $249 Chromebook, but here, it's being used to push Android 4.2. Those hungry for more can visit the source link, but don't go in hoping to extract an asking price.

Are your contacts linked to your Google account?
If they are, you don't have to worry about them, you would have to download your apps again, but depending on how you set up your account, all of the apps can download in the background.

When I flash a different ROM, I usually sit at the PC and click install on all the apps I want re-installed, have my phone plugged into the charger and I'm good to go, and I always reset when changing ROMs, it is not always necessary, but when upgrading I always advise to reset after the upgrade, else complaints mean nothing

I agree, it's not pretty, and the colour isn't helping either, but I can only guess they are trying to steer clear of litigation, don't think it's possible though, especially with Samsung posting the numbers they are posting

Google and their Android partners have to compete on function over form

After, fresh start, but, remember when you reset, if the ROM has a "hidden.img" file, you may see some apps being installed, don't know if the carriers down here have done that with Samsung

Not too much better. It is only charging just as slowly as the official charger. , if the phone is off while charging..it charges fast.

I read that interchanging the charger head with an iphone head has worked for some people.
I haven't got an iphone head.
I also read about switching the usb cord going from the power head of the charger, that seems to be working.

Tried updating since yesterday over the air but kelp getting a message about the update is being released in the order it is requested.
Then tried updating via Kies, but Kies refused to install on my windows 8 machine.
(i dont normally use Kies for anything because it moves slow and gives problems to find the connection to my phone)
So I installed Kies on a Windows 7 pc, after a few tries got my phone to connect and saw that that the update was available but Kies kept giving problems when im trying to backup.
I got fed up trying so I'm still on ICS.

TL;DR Update is available for Trini S3 via Kies but Kies issa waste of facking time...

i left it charging for 6 hours and it went from 10% to 60% battery power...now this is a phone that can go from 0-100% in less than 2 hours. I tried rooting to back up but CF 6.2 and 6.4 were not able to root the phone. It wen through the process, Odin said PASS it rebooted...when i ran Titanium Backup...same error message telling me it is not rooted.

I ended up starting in recovery mode and choose to wipe data and reset. I went through the setup process again. Somehow i did not lose the data in folders on the phone (pics, music). It went back to jellybean Trini 4.1.1. I re-installed all my apps.
Then plugged in in a different part of the house....phone began charging much faster not sure if it the plug location or the reset that helped....
pleased to say that the 3 main problems i had with JB on the s3 have been solved.

1. the phone is charging as normal but i still waiting for a verdict on that.
2. copy and paste works without crashing or just plain not working.
3. I can delete homescreens without TouchWiz crashing (I had animation set to 'off')

Download the rom from Sammobiles or xda and flash with Odin, then do a Factory Reset, it may not always be necessary, but I always advise people to reset after changing code base
