with my wounded leg and lack of time, i think i may actually send the car by a mechanic to get everything sorted *gassp*

the only person to touch a spanner to this car has been the guy who did the alignment.. thats not necessarily a good thing hahaha

any recommendations?

SO.. here is the dreaded to do list...

1) Replace diff seals & new fluid OR swap to 120y Diff (needs 120y driveshaft -> diff flange)
2) Replace front and rear leaf spring bushings, rear upper + lower shock bushings, hanger bushings
3) Replace clutch, pressure plate & release bearing (might as well get a light flywheel too eh?)
4) Install 8-10gal Fuel cell (or just install my surge tank and extra walbro for now?)
5) Install 4 Link Safety harness (gotta get that welded in)
6) FIND and install B210 Front Sway Bar (Help!!)
7) Install Tach (yes i still have no tach haha)
8) Install Handbrake (hydraulic)

Uhhhh, sooo.. hahaha lots to do..

list not bad, you can check my father in law in chaguanas (longdenville).
lives right opp. the longdenville police post.
he would be the only man i will ever let touch my vehicles as he is not the glad man type
that see turbo car and just wanna test drive when the owner not around :x damn i hate when mechanics do that

Sounds more than doable yet keepign it on a budget. Hopefully if the track opens you can see it progress over the year. If I do have my Silvia still I will be going sown a similar route. Really wanted to get a stock S14/S15 block and build it myself along with a VE head but for my power needs I think my engine with some minor upgrades will fit the build. Keep chuggin' you'll get there.

if the track really comes to be, I'll prob throw on a GT3071R instead of the GT28 or something similar and get some 660cc injectors and shoot for 350-400hp

dark grey with a sr20de, looks like a pice of crap haha, but has some choice parts, coilovers etc. handles awesome too! always told him he should have never put an exhaust on it, before with the headers and stock exhaust, with the cams, it just sounded so sick, but it still sounds ok at wot, but awesome at idle. he is head, once it can take him beach as quick as possible, he cool with that  looks, bleh, i dont think he wash that car in 4 years

hey moti, leg doing ALLOT better thanks!

the datsun, well all i did recently was crawl under it and mount the sway bar, but didnt finish as the mounts i got were wrong. I need 120y (B210) links and brackets for the sway bar

I am also really broke from the hospital bills and carnival etc.. so nothing going on until after carnival.. really need to get the car by a mechanic and let him sort out allot of stuff, cause i am too busy and have a shiet load of work to do after carnival also..

will keep ya' informed and updated!

Nice work bez. BTW does your 1200 have power steering?? If not how does it handle with all that power under the hood, is it hard to turn and stuff?

It's been a year since i got this lil ole car, and I have not been using it as much as I would like. a couple weeks ago I got some stuff i ordered from ebay a few months ago and forgot about haha, and i think i just located HKS clutch, pressure plate and light flywheel locally. going to mount up that and the sway bar stuff this week hopefully and put on my ebay bling soon :P

@hey gracen, the steering is manual with a steering box and not rack and pinion unfortunately. but i am thinking of putting in a rack and pinion setup from a ke corolla or something. the steering is really hard, especially with the wider rubber up front. but once moving at regular speed the car drives perfectly. the real beyotch is the diff, cause its welded and so BIG it really fights the car to go straight, so you gotta muscle it, especially when parallel parking, which i avoid..

ok spent the afternoon under the front of the datsun installing all the energy suspension bushings, as usual some fit, some didn't, biggest problem is that the new energy suspension sway bar clamp bolts holes are spaced too wide for the OE datsun bolts, only one lines up. So i either have to drill and tap a new hole, which i think it kinda impossible as its the boxed part of the chassis... the other option is to drill and weld a bolt in the hole/chassis and then use a nut to bolt it down... this will be much easier i think. other than that the end links bolted up great.. front suspension 90% sorted.

i got some nice new parts to bolt on but i am waiting on a couple more things to arrive before i bolt them all up and post some new pics, i want the kit to be complete before i post pics or even tease myself with an unfinished look... Also have a fuel cell and some longer nismo wheel studs, diff seals and some small things coming in too, need new bonnet clips, an ex manifold gasket kit, some more dynamat and some other small things... I am kinda determined to get this car back on the road in a couple weeks, but frig it gets expensive

Nice stuff, yeap the little things just all add up and before you know it you realise how much you are otu of pocket. But it beats wasting it on something else I guess at least this way you see where it all goes.
