^^ aye lemme know how it goes with the fuel-level sensor - my dad's L200 fuel gauge doesn't function well anymore. It barely shows anything above 1/4 tank, so we have to guesstimate the fuel level by using mileage. Everytime he fuels up, he resets the tripmeter to 0000 and then by 400km he fills up again.

L200.. when the speedo is shaking up and down.. its not the cable.. the the needle spring inside the IP that has worn. cuz mwith my new speedo cable i'm still getting that shaking up and down. only from 0 to 45 or so tho after 45 it reads gud..... and my fuel guage isnt workin so gud either. it reads but somtime it will just drop to a lower level.. and n come back up to the correct level... its usable.. but i still want to get it fixed..
keep us updaqted if u find out how to do it... and i adjusted my fuel pump.. van smokeless now.. but no power gain tho.. but i'm happy with the kinda power i gettin from she... so no complains.. and i still need a rightside door mirror.. :\ GRRR! NO WHERE HAS ANY IN STOCK!

^^^ sorry to hear that the adjusting of your pump didn't increase ur power,

But in my case, I was having a hard time climbing hills, an actually had to engage my 4 low to climb a hill wit a tray filled wit manure........ It almost made it to the top, before it died in first gear.......

The power in my case was truly felt, but still need a little more.....I was told to retard the pump a little.......

This requires me slackening all the bolts, and shifting it, jus a little..... (changing the angle).....

It has something to do wit the pump timing in discharging fuel to the injectors, but still doing the research......... to see if it is possible for a diy project, So far it looking like i need to do it by a professional.......>>>>>> Will keep you guys posted>>>>>>

welll my i have no problem with hills never did... and ive climed some pretty steep hills! my 1st gear is bullet proof IMO. so i guess my pump didnt need adjusting in the 1st place.. lol.. but the smoking did decrease so that was gud.. :)... i might be doing a full cluch system replacement this weeknd. my shifter has a lot of play in it and my 2nd 4th an R gear givin trouble to go in... was told that the shifter bushing needs to change. also changing gearbox oil. clutch and pressure plate. release bearing, and cluch cylinder rubbers...going to look for pats friday.. if i get a chance from work...

there are at the rear right now.
i offered it up in front.. it rubs the front bumper a bit.. and will loose turning radius cause of the high profil..

but i see a k64.... well the 4x2 model jus after ours.. an orange one... wit similiar 30x9.5 size on all four.. .... i see that van soetimes on the highway and goin down palmyra side.
wanted to see how he got it to fit in front..

i really put the tires to pull load..and my occasional 4x2'in.. but that kinda work and use of the van slow down rite now... so wanna go back to normal size

Ok guys, mine alternator tired now, so I did some looking around for a replacement, F/U ranged from $1500-$2000 and new replacement (they said japanies) were from $1500 to $2800........

Any of you ever used the replacement??????

any problems???

Well I am using the replacement for now, looking to get a original for a stand-by, its working good so far, charging 14.35 on idle wit a/c on full an head lamps on bright, and climbs to 14.4 + on acceleration.....It has a 110Amp rating

I will let you guys know how it holds out......

Steering box is hard to find, still looking,

getting a replacement for $2800 little mod needed, but the guy doesn't want to disclose what box he using, but said it will be done in one day's time.

I think I'll hold out for a genuine box.......

L200 _ what price did you pay for the 110amp altinator?
What is the brand?

I recently swapped mine in the L200. It originally came with a 75amp altinator. I had a 90amp original one which I bought in the Bamboo that I had in my previous vehicle. I paid $1800 for it.

I now have the 75 amp one for sale if anybody needs one. It came off a TBW L200 doin only 75000km. I'm askin $1500 for it. Which includes installation with my electrician and will offer 1 month warranty.

The K34 originally had a 50amp altinator. This was the TBC model and did not come with factory installed ac but diamond motors installed a universal unit.

Any K74 fellas know where the temperature sensor for the thermometer on the dash is located?

the temp sensor is in the intercooler

if u watching the ic from the left side of the van (next to left front wheel) u will see it on the side of the IC, closer to the top

I paid $1500.00 by Parboo, not sure if it is de correct spelling. It jus have alternator marked on de box......(not original)

I'm not holding my breath on the amt of amps it claims to produce but it working for now, still 14.35 on idle........

The label says 110a but one of the guys said it will be more like 90a

ryanm if i had de donsai to spare, I would hav taken yours as a spare.......

According to de manual de oil to use is 75w-90 body oil in de gear box conforming to API GL 4 specifications.........an hypoid gear oil 90 body for the diff conforming to API GL 5 specifications.....

It took 2 in my rear diff, 2 in de gear box 1.5 in de transfer case an 1.5 in front, if my memory is correct.

I used castrol........

guys,

i changed all belts on the f/u engine... much of the smoking has gone now... seems like the timing belts were worn and prob changed the fuel pump timing a bit... now im still getting a little smoke. the mech said to clean injectors.

need some advice as to where to go to clean my injectors.. need good, reliable, and same day service.. this is my only transport.

i put back my stock air box.. was running a cone filter since the f/u engine was installed. was advised not to use cone filter on the van. i've now noticed reduced acceleration. and while running say 50-60 mph and if i take my foot of the ex... speed drops noticibly. after i clean injectors.. i'll live with whatever performance i get outta this van yes..

got my new speedo cable from faiz and installed. was a beyotch to feed it tru the firewall around all the piping and tubes and sheet under the dash... but it works bess..

speedaholic, did u take the cable out the housing and grease it before u installed urs in the van?
and it should be greased like every year or so according to ah ole boy down by me.
but it makes sense.. when i removed the original one to carry as a pattern, water drained off on the gearbox side... and grease was practically non existant. van is TBD.

i'm lookin for a guts (third member) for my k14... i hav the backlash problem to sort out still... that clang i hear from time to time is not a very nice sound. its either the backlash is adjusted or changed out completely... and advice on this? and where i can look for a guts if its advised to change out? also... can a LSD guts from say k74 be installed into the original k14 rear banjo or an entire k74 banjo be installed in the k14?
still lookin for advice on this matter.

also... two 30x9.5 Roadstone Roadian A/T tires for sale.... used. very good condition. accepting any reasonable offer.

i want to put back same sized tires right around before i do over my front ends and bushings.
putting the big tires in the back not worth it in the long run and i wont recommend it to anyone with k14. it throws off the balance of the van. more weight to the front. and puts everyting in front on a strain. right now my lower cradle bolts bouncing iron. balljoints to change, and steering ends... full works.

Thanks

u can get your injectors cleaned @ zaid mustafa auto in san juan el soccorow area.. on the main road... dont have a number for them... shud be in ur local directors.. they do same day service... i did not grease my cable as yet.. but will be doin it this weekend along with diff and gearbox oil change! i changed my lower cradle botls earlier las year.. the two old ones broke off! ball joints are new and steering end gud still! i need some advice tho!

i noticed brake fluid leaking from the load sensor at the left side rear wheel yesterday.. today i remved the entire sensor and found that the rubber cap underneath the arm that is attatched to the spring connecting to the diff... has a small tear on it.. i have noo idea how this happened but my brakes fluid is now leaking.. and fast too! anytime i mash... so i not drivin until that is fix.. anyone knows where i can get this rubber to buy? it looks like a mini boot rubber..
