yeah I just threw that one in to get some feedback
I tend to do shots in natural light, so any tips on what to do with artificial light in these sorts of settings would be great
I love doing the long exposures at night because of the surreal colours you get, especially witht hhe sky and clouds

A small question.....

well 2 really...

Is the Nikon 50mm 1.4G worth the extra cash......or would the Nikon 50mm 1.4D give similar results....

http://imaging.nikon.com/products/imagi ... /index.htm

http://imaging.nikon.com/products/imagi ... /index.htm

Also if the intention is to aquire a AF-S NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8G ED does it even make sense aquiring the 50mm at all.

Before you go out and buy photoshop, if you are on a budget, get gimp and UFRAW plugin for free. I used it for about a year before I got a licensed copy of photoshop CS3 which I currently use.

When converting fies from RAW, I only use Nikon View NX, as you get more control over the picture and can get it looking like what you saw on your camera LCD straight from opening the file, which is a good starting point for editing. I assume Canon editing software will be just as good.

Again, before you get photoshop, there are some photographers who like lightroom and don't ever use photoshop...so look into that also, as it might suit your needs better..

16 cycles, did you shoot @ f/1.8 in the first pic? The only advice I have to give on using fast primes is that you don't need to shoot wide open to get blurred background. See this shot @ F/4 Stopping down a little gives better contrast and color. Use DOF preview if you have it on your camera to preview the approximate DOF of your shot.

Anyone ever got an error1 using the canon's? What to I do?

It just showed up on my camera and IDK what to do, the body works fine with my other lense but with the 18-55mm it shoots and error.
