ok the kia sportage (gas) starts at around $240k and the fully loaded gas with 18" rims and panoramic roof is $292k.
how much is the fully loaded diesel? and does the diesel come with the 18" rims and panoramic roof?

I checked a couple months ago and no the diesel didn't come with 18"s nor the glass roof.

That SX4 reminds me of the Nissan Qashqai

SX4 looks more aggressive but XV still looks better tho, but the price is nice. Under 200K? the previous model was in the 160 to 170 range.

lol @ DJ Q . I kinda agree tho if you must have a crossover then the XV is the better looker IMO. Just that damn subaru price. But suzuki does seem to price their products competitively for the most part. Still wouldnt buy any tho. Too boring. Except for the swift which is too small. And that boring comment comes from a man driving a corolla. :rainbowafro:

Salesman said the diesel engines known to give some problems lol, the fully loaded for 292k I must say is the best value for money. I am a diehard Honda lover but this vehicle changed my mine, only to test drive now to seal the deal

Lol actually if I had those options when I was buying I would have gone with either the Rio or the Fiesta. Fiesta for the handling and fun factor , rio for practicality and features. Both good vehicles from the reviews I've read. Yaris nowadays has too many competitors to make it the be all and end all in that price range.

I want to get some info on the
- GONOW Troy
- Mahindra Pikup
- Great Wall Wingle
- ??? Grand Tiger
- Any other cheap diesel van.

My father own a Wingle and it's a beauty to drive, but it's slow as hell. Feels like you need to do 10,000+ RPM to pass traffic.

Honestly I like the Mahindra the most out of that list.

I wonder if it's a problem with the engines or user error  . The salesperson didn't by any chance happen to say what were the issues?
Just the other day I was behind a Tucson and was wondering about the diesel virgins who are buying the diesel option for the sake of fuel savings, but driving/ maintaining them like they would a regular gas vehicle, and when they would start experiencing problems.

The Mahindra is a very strong van. Lots of cabin space too. Jus a lil slow. In the cheap pickup area I thinks it is the best.

The grand tiger is from ZX auto china.
Find out more about it here;

Not entirely sure of who brings it though

How would you compare the mahindra vs a hilux?

Personally... after driving it, I don't see why a Hilux costs so much.
The Mahindra has almost everything *I* want in a vehicle.
Many of the simple things in that vehicle impressed me.

For instance, the deck comes with a remote, steering controls, USB playback but no bluetooth (damn).
Vehicle also has rear a/c, folding arm rests for driver and passenger, adjustable headrests in the rear, LOTS of head and leg room and very deep tray. Side step is actually part of the chassis so imho would assist with side impact.

All of that for $138,000 (4x2) and $165,000 (4x4)
The only difference between the two is the transmission.

It's not pretty, but it seems very good thus far.

If you think Mahindra slow you should drive a Wingle. As soon as it start to pick up speed you redlining :?

The refreshed Wingle's got improved a bit. Should solve many 'power' issues we've been having with it. The Mahindra is a dead horse compared to the new Wingle as for towing, offroading, body strength gee I dunno would never go offroad in a pickup unless it have a hilux or bt-50/ranger badge on it.

I can say first hand that the Wingle is no competition for the Mahindra in these fileds.
The Wingle 5 is probably the slowest thing I have ever driven.
