You have Tiger Lilies growin in a pot? They're great to shoot. Very dramatic flowers.

Halfbreed07, You seem to have an eye for trying to see and capture what is not there in order to make an interesting shot......

These experts here does make it look easy but it ain't.....at least for me it isn't.

Esp. when you do buy yuh SLR and realise that it doh take all them fancy shots itself :|

Nah dem ain't my flowers....stumbled across them....later on in the year I should have more opportunity to shoot some interesting flowers...

Very sad shot really......Everytime I look at it I feel kinda bad about taking it................ :(

Halfbreed07, I agree with Bacon. Go for it!

I especially liked this one:

Image

The fact that you're making the mundane interesting says a lot, as opposed to people who take bland photos of great and interesting subjects.

Good job!

Bacon & Notorious Scullman,
thanks so much for the encouragement and kind words. i got myself a Rebel XTI on Monday, probably took 250 pics by now, my wife's cacti collection featured prominently in them, they are very good subjects.
again Thanks.

took this photo of Faisal's brand new Nissan GT-R

Image

and made this ad for Zorce 12 from it

Image

I over saturated the photo in the ad for effect

the buildings behind me reflected badly on the car and i only noticed that AFTER I got back home - but I wasnt going through any photoshop drama

Thanks to Faisal for allowing us the opportunity to take photos of his car

Sweet one. You could have gotten rid of the buildings with a longer shutter sped and/ or panning the shot while he overtook the car you were in (but as they say, hindsight 20/20). Really good, and the buildings add character IMO.
