Ah knew it had a German look to it
It is is ah........ tan-tah dan-dah dannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn...................

EMW 340

Eisenacher Motoren-Werke

In a nutshell, BMW had a factory in the town of Eisenach, in what was to become East Germany following WW2.........the workers, who were making wheelbarrows at the plant following WW2 decided to try and assemble some cars usnig the prewar spares left behind.....they later produced their own version of the BMW 327, in 1949

The 340 started life as a 321, but soon lost the BMW kidney grille. It was stil based on 1930s underpinnings, but gained a torsion-bar rear suspension.

Isetta was to easy..........damn I forgot to blank off the Honda signs :-(

That Honda F1 has an interesting story.....in an unprecedented move, Honda approached Lola to help with the car mid-season! It was 300 lbs heavier than the competition, and was heavy on fuel cnsumption......Lola redid their chassis in England using an existing design, and Honda's guys in Japan retuned the engine. They missed a race, but then returned with a virtually new, and untested car. Three races later, they won at the hands of John Surtees!!!!!!!!!!!! Interestingly, it was Lola's only victory in F1....the car was nicknanmed the Hondola!!!!!!!!! :D So for all the guys who vex wid the Honda-mini hybrids, its not a new concept (Lola being British)

Imagine a team asking for help from another team mid-season in today's F1 scene
