yes, very unfortunate for the kids involved but it's best this way. when the ex and i were together, we fought all the time (reason for us parting ways was that her ex was in the picture). in any event, we get along well now for the sake of my daughter. at least nothing is messy (i didn't want us to stay together, fight and create a messed up childhood for my daughter).
at least i spend a little bit of each day with my daughter (take her to school, pick her up, babysit sometimes, etc)
